Car all locked up

Recommended Posts

The other day I went to start my car and everything seemed fine until i noticed no interior lights came on and the car did not turn on with the key. I looked and the flashing light on the radio was flashing and everything seemed fine until I noticed the the passenger side door had not opened when I manually unlocked the car (key fob battery low). I just assumed the batter was dead and went to pop the front hood but the latch would not move for the front or rear to pop open. I just installed an Optima red top into the car not two months ago but somehting seems really wrong. Any insight would be more than helpful. The car is a 1999 Carrera 4

thanks for your help. would that explain the lockup on the trunk though? or the other door not unlocking? Sorry I don't want to seem like I am second guessing you I just want to figure this out before i dive through a bunch of repairs. Luckily for me this occured 150 miles from my home and just as far from the nearest person who knows what a porsche is much less how to work on one. So diving in on this myself I'm just trying to get it right the first time.

Thanks again for your help!
