2007 Boxster Engine Shutdown

Recommended Posts

My Boxster stalled twice in last 3 months, on the highway after flickering of lights!!

The local authorized dealer cannot find any defects.

There is no code on computer diagnostics.

The car is still under extended warranty. Does anyone have similar experience or solution or recommendations?

Please help as this is a huge problem. Porsche North America refuses to help.

I do not want to put anyone in the car or drive on the freeway cause this car can stall at any point putting lives at danger.

Why cant they find any code problems in the computer? Does the IMS failure apply here?

Thanks

You posted this three times - per board rules we have removed the duplicate posts.

Where are you located (state)? Have you tried your local dealer(s)? -- PCNA will not get involved until the local dealer(s) have been given a chance to correct the problem.

Sounds like you have a battery or ground strap problem.

Oops sorry about duplicate posts..

Do the battery issue and ignition problem not show up in the computer diagnostics?

The local dealer in long island NY is not able to find the problem. Do u think i shld take it another dealer?

PCNA refuses to send a factory technician to look for the problem. They just dont want to help anyway. I am very surprised with their response to this.

I would think they would like this resolved considering someone can get hurt.

I am stumped.

THanks

Because either the switch or cable would be intermittent, diagnostic scans would not see it unless it happened during the test...............

On the plus side, both the switch and the cable are low bucks items if they do need replacing............
