Covers for holes near interior light on 1997 Boxster?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have two holes near my interior light on my 1997 Boxster. The holes look as though there was once a light or at least some covers present. The holes are located just above the interior light between the light and the handle for the convertible top. I have looked at every parts catalogue i can get my hands on, but have failed to produce a part number or description of the lens caps, lights, or whatever is supposed to be there. Any help is appreciated. If necessary, i can take and post pictures. thanks

Cajun:

There are supposed to be two black/translucent small plastic covers ("eyes") pressed onto those holes, which cover the motion sensors.

Regards, Maurice.

Motion sensor lens covers:

I know it's a long time later, but, I too searched and searched for p/n for this lens for my '99 986.

The # is 996-618-212-02-oem, available from Pelican for $5 each. In the catalog, it's just called "interior sensor trim", so, no wonder it's hard to find!
