Looking for some info on a 75'

PSGT3

Recommended Posts

The Vin on the body reads 9115400148

the most I could fine was that it was a 1975 w/an original engine of 911/43, 165 hp @ 5800 rpm with only 395 produced....however the engine is a 3.0 S/N *6404085*

can anyone decode the engine VIN? Looking to possibly buy this car...but would like some info

Thanks,

Phil

Check the search on this site. I included a link to one of the discussions. You cannot really get much from the older VIN's but this may help? LINK Click Here

Good luck.

DC

PS I see you live in Lafayette...Cajun Country! I used to play football for Nicholl's State...Then transferred to LSU...Lived in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, & Mandeville....Sure miss the food!

Not much from the VIN in those days.

9115400148

911 = model 911

5 = model year

4 = engine and body code

00148 = serial number

The engine serial number says it is a 1980 SC engine (640 prefix).

That engine would be 179 HP built for USA and Canada.

Thanks, Loren & DC

I appreciate it. I searched and searched and only found what I stated earlier.

P.S. DC yes I still live in Lafayette...I've been here for nearly 20 years, food is great, especially now that crawfish are back in season and Mardi Gras just around the corner. I'm now an honorary Cajun
