Ignition Switch

99 C2 911, tip. Start car, push auto air conditioner; nothing. Try windshield wipers; nothing. wiggle key in ignition, everything works. Ignition switch? Is it a DIY?

yes, DIY. $10 part if ordered online from autohausaz.com otherwise $35-50 from local Audi dealer.

Very common issue... electrical portion craps out. Search on ignition switch and you'll find lots of threads and DIY (maybe in sticky too).

Replaced ignition switch on my 1999 911 C2 today. Works perfectly. Thanks to Renntech and all of it's members i've done maintenance and repairs myself saving much bucks.
