Can someone point me to an x74 installation how-to?

"The chassis and suspension, including the brake system of the 911 special model (M 095), has been adopted in its basic components from the 911 Carrera sports suspension. In order to achieve balanced handling as well as the familiar high level driving dynamics also on the special model, the rear axle springs have been adapted to the higher weight and resultant changes in driving dynamics"

So you already have a sport suspension. X74 will make that lower (about 40 mm front and 30 mm rear) and stiffer.

Installation couldn't be simpler since the X74 kit comes with springs and shocks already assembled. So you are just changing out strut assemblies and swaybars.

So if you look at the 996 DIY you can just skip the coil spring and shock disassembly/assembly.

I did an X73 (all wheel drive) on my car a couple of years ago and have some pix if they might help you. Dealing with the front drive is tricky but you will not have that to work around. I hope something here might help.

Have fun,
