Quite a while back there was a thread:

about a custom rear deck subwoofer box.

While this sub box has disappeared, I was wondering if anyone still on the forum had one or had listened to it. I'm going to either build one of these, or a custom enclosure behind the seats. I may start with this one to figure out if it sounds good enough to keep. If I can squeeze it in, i'll probably use a 10" driver, I'm looking at a few that might work, otherwize it'll be either an 8" Dayton or Tang Band (both of which sound better than the Pioneer). It has the advantage of not having to create a two or three part fiberglass enclosure to replace the sound carpet behind the seats.

The behind the seats enclosure would support a 10 or possibly a 12" sub - I'm pretty sure I can get about .8cf on a half panel. I'll probalby start with a single panel but I suspect installation/removeal will require that I split the panel - no way to know until I build it.

The goal is to not lose more than 1-2" of seat adjustment - I won't know how much space I can give up until I get the new seats (Cobra Misano) installed. I'm 5'9" 29" inseam.

Anyway - If anyone has info they can share I'd appreciate it.
