Pollen Filter Replacement for 04TT

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know how to replace the Pollen filter for the 04TT? I think it should be under the passenger side of the dash, but I don't know how to get to it. Does anybody know of a good source of these filters as well as other Porsche parts at reasonable prices?

First don't let the diagram scare you. It shows everything.

The filter is item 20. I think you take the two screws (38) and the plate (38) off to slide it out the bottom.

955 572 219 10 Pollen Filter

Retail is $27.73 try Sunset Porsche (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for a better price.

Thanks for your reply Loren. I can see from the diagram that removal of the small panel (37) should allow the filter to drop straight down. My first challenge is to get to that panel. I want to remove the large trim panel from underneath the dash on that side. All I can see is one screw just behind the glove box door and some slots on the front side that hold it in place. Is that all there is or am I missing something?

All you need to do this is to remove the panel underneath the dash/glovebox on the passenger side. You do not need to remove the glovebox to replace the pollen filter. Its a single t20 or t25 screw holding the panel in, after you've got it loose pull it down and disconnect the light and or 12v accessory sockets. Then you'll need a 5.5 mm socket to remove the two screws shown in the diagram.
