Looking for Owners Manual for 1999 996 C2 Coupe

Recommended Posts

Greetings! First post. I just purchased a nice used 1999 C2. The info on this and other forums has been incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance to everyone whose postings will help me in my ownership experience.

I am looking for a source for an Owners Manual for my 1999 996 C2 Tiptronic coupe. It is too old to be available as a pdf file. And I have not found one from any of the "usual suspects". Does anyone know where I can find this? There's a few functions that I have not yet sorted out, and it would be helpful.

As an alternative, I have found a 2001 OM for sale. It seems to me that it should be pretty close. What does everyone think of that? Am I right or wrong in that assumption?

Thanks again!!

If I remember right suncoast porsche had a few, but they could be gone. You could try sunset porsche.

They come up on ebay from time to time, but they are expensive.

I've thought about scanning mine in to have it as an electronic format, if I ever get the time.

If it's ok, I would certainly share it here (haven't looked into copyright details).

As logray says find a dealer that will get one for you. These are rarely over $20.

My manual saga:

The previous owner of my car couldn't find the manual when he sold me the car. He ordered one from a dealer in Connecticut and had it sent directly to me. The invoice was for $250. A short time later, I found the original manual under my seat. I gave it to someone on Rennlist who needed one. About two months later, I left my car with my sister so she could drive it while I was away on vacation. She lost the manual. Really. I was able to order one from Suncoast Porsche for around $30. It was on back-order and took a couple of months for me to get it.

So, I'm on my third manual and I feel bad for people who are unable to get one.
