Newbie: First Porsche for myself

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this is the right place for me to say hi to everyone. I am getting myself my first Porsche in my life. It is a year 2006 Boxster 2.7 with chasis number WP0ZZZ98Z6U702475 and engine number M96/2561605079.

The car is in maroon color with beige interior and it has original hardtop and its rack. The car has only 6600km from its 6 years old life.

My question as a newbie is what do I need to worry on such a low mileage car. The car has been maintain by Porsche service center here. From the engine number it seems like it has the new deisgn RMS? Would the IMS problem affect such a low mileage car?

Can I also know what are the options does the car have? Is there anywhere on the car I can look? The only things that the car doesn't have is xenon lights.

Attached are some of the photos of the car.

Beautiful car.. And yes the 2006 would have the improved IMS bearing. Your option sheet should be on the hood of your car.. If not if you give your dealer the VIN# he should be able to tell you the cars options. Enjoy and welcome!

Looks like you got a nice car... I just got a 2005 in, I think, the same exterior color (Carmon Red) and a grey interior. Mine had 20lk miles on it when I bought it in june, and I put 6k miles on it over the summer. It's in the garage now, so not to get snow and road salt and chemicals on it. I wait for spring!
