Oil prices. Is this good?

Recommended Posts

That link shows $38.61 for 6qts... $6.44/qt before any potential shipping or other costs.

Walmart here sells these for $6.47/qt.....and $26.48 for a 5qt = $5.30/qt

So even if there's free shipping on the link you have, I think you can probably do better at Walmart, for example.

Advance has the 5qt jugs of Castrol Edge 5w-40 on sale pretty often for $32 + a free oil filter, (of course you have to get 2 ). They will normally credit me the filter price towards the purchase of a Mobil 1 spin on to use with the LN spin on adapter I have on my 996, as long as the other filter is the advertized one to use on one of my other cars, so with 2 filters, its even cheaper!

You might want to give your local Wal-mart store a call to see if they either have it or can have it sent from another store. I was actually just in there and they told me that they were in the process of "refreshing" their offering of oil products (don't know if that's a nationwide initiative or just in my specific location), so I don't know if 5w-50 is part of that....

Never hurts to give them a quick call to ask. I buy my 0w-40 there and it's about as cheap as I have found. Good luck.

I just spent 36 minutes attempting to get an answer at the Renton, WA Walmart. I even got to talk to the manager once. I had to switch phones a couple times because they stopped answering my number. They were quite shocked when I called from a different number.

To sum it up, of the people who spoke english, non would go to the aisle and check.

It was the worst experience Ive ever had with any retailer. I dont remember getting that angry in a long long time.

I will give my money away for free before they get any.
