'99 996 exhaust tube diameter?

Recommended Posts

What is the exhaust tube diameter?

996%20GT3%20Cup%20pipes%20on%20car.jpg

I.e. what is the diameter of the bypass pipe that fits into the stock exhaust - to put it in another way :)

Thanks in advance.

Nobody knows this?

Well, I guess it's rather evident what I plan on doing: going to a local muffler shop and get a ready made pipe or make them bend a proper one and then fitting tips into those. Cheap-o bypass pipes in mind...I do love the quality of the fabspeed ones but almost $500 is a LOT for two bent pipes and a pair of tips...

If someone knows this - please do post...

take off ur mufflers and measure it.

it looks like 3" roughly, but better you measure it to be presice.

Yep, that's what I had in mind but I was just posting here to take my chances if someone would know the measurements already :)

I'll measure it today and I'll post the results later on...should anyone else need to know...
