Hello all,

I've read many threads on this topic. One thing i'm not so sure that once I take out my stock radio unit (non-NAV). Will there be any "trouble code" ? If there is, how do I make it clear permanently (since there is no more stock radio)?

Beside the Kenwood & Pioneer, has anyone tried the newest Alpine 8" screen?

Thanks for the inputs.

ManN

I have 04 CayenneS

Let me add to this thread: my Amp is dead, I have replaced the amp once before and now the one I replaced is dead again!

I read from "completed aftermarket Navi install" by Cayenneturbo - excellent information - however, i believe he reused the factory amp. My case, I just want to use the amp in the Kenwood, therefore, no fiber is going to be used. Will I get a trouble code if I don't use the factory amp?

Thx,

I'm using the Alpine 8" and it is really sweet. I did retain the factory amp and fiber so I can't speak to how things will work otherwise. The only thing i'm still working on is the phone steering wheel controls... kenwood seems to be the only manufacturer that has the full steering wheel hookup for the cayenne. though I haven't given up yet. Again, happy with the alpine, though there are some release 1 issues around system startup that alpine and my installer are working on.
