Wiper arm upgrade

Recommended Posts

I have a 1990 C4 and just performed one of the best upgrades (non-performance) yet.

I upgraded the wiper arms to the newer style (two hold down springs instead of one). The blades are now firmly pressed against the windshield. Highly recommended!

Where did you get the newer style? Do you have a part number?

I bought them from Sunset Imports (mention their ad in "Excellence Magazine" for a nice discount".

You will need a few parts, the arm, caps and you might as well change the blades. It was $25 for each arm and $21 for the blades. The caps were about $2 a pair.

There is a right and left wiper arm, I'm not sure which part number is for which arm (they know):

964-628-028-01 Wiper Arm

964-628-028-02 Wiper Arm

964-628-901-02 Wiper Blades

928-628-623-01 Wiper Arm Caps (x2)

One of the best upgrades for the money!

Hi,

being new to the forum but relatively familiar with the 964 models this is completely new to me. Good to learn something on this. Do you know from which built these changed to your recommended standard? Maybe you can even provide some pictures...?

I don't work on my car myself but I like to know about possible flaws.

I know this is a very old thread but maybe somebody is still around here about it.

Cheers,
