Remote Key k.o.

Suddenly the remote key is not working unlocking doors

I have remote key codes because I have bought a new one in 2008 and got me.

I asked in a "keys-copy"  shop, they put the key on a machine and the remote key works fine, release signal and displays "on", they told me remote key has to program with the car with a procedure such as .... to put the key in the lock, rotate, press the button. etc .. ... for matching to the car,

Does anyone know how this procedure is?  I greatly appreciate a little help to see if I can skip trip to porsche center.

No such procedure has ever existed.  You need to program the car to accept the key using a PST II or PIWIS system.

If you don't use the key for awhile (5 days or more I think) just unlock the door by using the metal part and I thnk you have to start the engine with the key right after and then it will work again.

I want two keys, (one for spare) enabling unlocking doors and switch on ignition. Have I to buy two transmitters with two different codes for programming these two codes in the car? I have an old remote key but this no codes. Then the old key is for trash?
