Problem Automatic Transmission PDK 911 / 997.2 Carerra S 2010

Recommended Posts

I have Porsche 911 / 997.2 Year 2010, VIN WP0ZZZ99ZAZ71XXXX in UAE, Middle East

I purchased the car 2 years ago and there is no warranty, I believe the cad had rear accident history, however from testing PIWIS !! tested reveal no problem, i have fixed some problem related to rubber engine / motor mounts, transmission mount and regular servicing (oil, spark plugs).

Recently I felt slight vibration when changing 1st to 2nd gear in Normal Automatic Mode (PDK) (not Spot / sport plus) , I feel slight vibration but its gone on other gear 3-7th even in high speed

I thought it was just minor glitch, I check with dealer and they wanted 2-3 weeks waiting, but the car is already  having problem. So I decided to take to Automatic Transmission specialist, where I can see they have PIWIS tester and other US as well as German Cars being repaired, for more than 30 cars.  I assume the risk and leave the car, the next day I went back and they show me Oil with Water mixed, so they decided to open the whole transmission, the shop does not stop there, they Tear down the automatic transmission and asked me to replace the part (below) I just can not understand that with No PIWIS error, they just want to change everything,

However, I just need to find the UNKOWN PART, Can anyone guide me where to look for this or at least trade the whole transmission ?

The part needed are:

  1. Heat Exchanger PN  9G1 307 017 00 (Not an issue ordered)
  2. Control unit Hydraulic PN 9G1 317 015 00 (I insist to re install as this is easy part to replace after)
  3. Oil pan Complete : PN 9G1 321 025 00 (Not an issue ordered as this filter and mixed with water)
  4. Automatic Clutch and cover plate  (UNKNOWN) This is the problem, I appreciate if anyone can guide me where to look for this

Anyway, I am now challenging the repairshop to delay the clutch hydraulic control unit, and repair the (Unkown Automatic Clutch and defective cover as I can not find yet the replacement) lets see how it goes

You are going to need to check with an authorized Porsche parts supplier in your area.  It is part of the clutch pack assembly, which may only be available as an assembled unit (there are not a lot of individual parts available for the PDK).

Hello there

Did you finally repair your PDK and replace the parts you mentioned? I'd be interested to know more since I have similar issues. Thanks !
