Did I make the right choice in brake job replacement?

I believe that you may want to replace the Caliper Bolts. I'm pretty sure this is a Porsche suggested maintenance replacement item. At Suncoast they're $9 per pair (1 pair per caliper).

Re the Brake Pad Sensors, do those need to be replaced each time? I thought they are a reusable item ??

I haven't done a brake job yet for my 2004 Boxster but it'll be needing some attention in this area during winter storage. I do plan to AutoX next year, maybe a Track Day as well !!?? My plan is to do Porsche stock or equivalent for street and AutoX, but maybe Pagid for track. I've got time to decide.

Thank you. At a young age, I was taught: "Never enter into any situation except to improve it". This is a deceptively difficult ideal to achieve.

i checked the Bentley manual, and it says to replace the brake pad wear sensor wire if it looks worn.

That it is.  I spent 20+ years in the military and even in that environment it is hard to accomplish.  p.s. Ordering a Bentley manual as well..might as well learn how to do more myself....so much easier when I owned and worked on a 64 Ford Galaxie 500..a 68 Mustang..a 71 Mach 1..**** ex wives..lost them all.

Your list looks good to me, SteelStroke.

I only replace the brake pad sensor cables if they were ‘chewed out’ by the rotors. Otherwise I’ll keep the new ones as spare parts, and clean and reuse the old ones.

You also have anti-vibration shims, which fit tight inside of the brake pistons, and sometimes are hard to come out, particularly with all the road salt if the car is driven during the winter time. The shims are different for the front and rear calipers.

Lastly, the small screws that hold the rotors in place, sometimes they also need to be replaced.
