This is a cross-post for the Panmera forum as there is very little activity over there...

I am in the hunt for a Panamera Turbo and I am wondering if there is a way to read from the ECU the number of launch control events that have occured. I would like to find a vehicle that has had none at all if possible. Can the dealer read this or is it not even recorded? I know that there is a record of the number of launches on Mercedes launch-controlled vehicles.

TIA

Cheers,
Tom F

Yes It can be checked via PIWIS tester. Don't remember exactly where it's hidden. Might be in part of VAL. If need be I can dig for it. Lmk

Thanks for your reply. Yes, if you wouldn't mind digging for it, that would be great. I need to be able to tell the dealer or indy just where to look.

Best,
Tom

So PIWIS 3 is a little different but in VAL under PDK actual values race start counter.. I will chime back in when I get a car to test and see if it changes after engaging launch control

That would be great. Thank you!

Ok sorry for the wait guys..but I was correct in PDK actual values there is a value for race start counter. It was at zero. I then activated launch control..still stayed at zero until I actually released brake and car took off. I did it a second time, it went to 2.. I then cycled key and rechecked at it stayed at 2.. now like I said this is on a PIWIS 3.. so it may be different on a PIWIS 2 and I'm sure for a Durametric
