Installing H&R Sport Springs on 2016 Cayenne e-Hybrid (92A)

Recommended Posts

Hey there. I was looking for instructions on how to install new springs on my 2016 Cayenne e-Hybrid.

My main issue is that I can't figure out how to remove the rear springs. It looks as if you have to remove the a big part of the interior lining at the back of the car to get access to the bolts which hold the springs in position.

I'm not 100% sure if this is the way to do so I also donated to the forum to become a contributing member and get the TSBs, but I can't seem to find anything about this either.

Any ideas would be appreciated

There are no TSBs for suspension changes. TSBs are for Porsche option installs and fault correction.

PM me for further TSB information.

You need to remove the rear lock cover and trim panels to get access.

Thanks for your answer Loren. I had a look and out seems that you have to remove the side panels on both sides to be able to remove the cover (labelled C in the image above).

Is that right? Also are there any instructions on how to remove the side panels, ie where the tabs are, so i don't break them?

Thanks so much for your help

I looked at alldata diy and yes they have steps for removing / replacing the rear suspension.

Thanks for checking Robert. I don't have a subscription at the moment, but if they have instructions specifically for the eHybrid I'll probably subscribe. I'll have a look now

I can't seem to find a 2016 Cayenne eHybrid on the list. They have previous models but they're different, and even for those they don't have the hybrid version.

The problem with the eHybrid is that it has big fat battery in the boot where the spare tyre normally is. So some of the instructions for other models don't apply.
