SUV not starting when engine warm

I have a 2009 Cayenne S and when the car is warm and is turned off, it is difficult to get started again.  I checked the air box after the motor and before the MAF.

 

Any ideas?  Would it be the starter?  I would think it either turns on or not and not temperature dependant.

 

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check your crank position sensor; hard starting when warm is a classic sign of CPS problems.

I would be remiss if I did not say I would be circumspect about buying sensors off fleabay.  Half the time they are on there is because they are in no better condition than what you already have.

 

The sensor is held in by one bolt and is on the side of the bellhousing.
