M605 Option

Hi all, 

 

I was working on my driver's side vent assembly today and i noticed a small cover that its existence made no sense to me (P/N 996 552 621 01 A03).

So i looked up the parts and saw that this is where the headlight levelling system (M605 build option) switch is. And then when I searched around I couldnt find anything on this - not even a photo of how the switch actually looks like.

 

Has anyone have this option?

 

Then this made me wonder does my 2003 996TT with stock bi-Xeon lights have the headlight levelling system?

I was reading that one way to know if this system works is that when the car starts the Xieon lights go a "bit" up and then down.

 

Is this true?

Likely a TT standard part. Not all RoW models had the manual adjustment. The US/Canada cars did not have it either.
