Alarm/WindowsTop not funcioning - Durametric codes

Recommended Posts

1999 C2 Cab.
Can't operate the windows (any). Can't operate the top. When trying to lock the car with FOB, OR manually, I hear a double clicking noise from somewhere behind the steering wheel (it doesn't seem from the driver's door), or maybe underneath on driver's side. Then, the 2 beeps.

Tried to use the unlock button, restart the car, unlock/lock with FOB... the same clicking noise and nothing else.

Here are the Durametric error codes. I have been reading about here as there are multiple versions of similar accounts, but I can't figure it out.

You have multiple electrical faults; the tank servo is not getting power, the central locking computer is not reaching the locked configuration, the interior motion sensor is faulty, and the alarm system is seeing multiple sensors not closed.

To begin with, you are going to need basic electrical diagnostic gear like a digital multimeter, and a copy of the car's wiring diagram so you can start tracing circuits and testing them.

Yes thank you, I thought that would be the case. However, I'm not sure where to start. From the errors, are there likely things that might be happening? Faulty switches, etc?

You have alarm sensors (read switches) on each door, both trunk and engine cover, the "oddments" holder (read console), and last but not least, a motion sensor at the top of the windshield; any or all can become problematic and throw faults and should be tested.

As yours is a cab, I would also be looking at the immobilizer under the driver's seat, looking for signs of it having gotten wet, a common source of multiple alarm faults.

The tank servo is an independent system and also needs to be looked at for electrical faults.
