04 C4S amp/speaker wiring diagram

Recommended Posts

I am going to replace the amp in my 04 C4S as part of a complete stereo overhaul. I was hoping to create a wiring harness from the new amplifier that will terminate with a socket that the current speaker wiring harness can plug directly into. Does anyone have a diagram explaining the pinouts (or color codes) of the harness that leads to the speakers? Also, does anyone know what type of connector is required (i.e. I want a connector that mimics the connector that is in the stock amplifier).

Thanks.

I sent you a PM...

I'm interested in doing the same thing for a '99 996 (without Bose). If the info is the same, can you copy me on the diagram? Thanx!

I have a MY99 996 Cab, and would like to do the same thing. I've got nav, but I don't know if that makes a difference on the amp option. Can you help with a wiring diagram/connector options Loren?

Anyone out there succesfully add some nice sound with a sub to their Cab? I desperately need some good sound- I can almost not believe that Porsche put such a crappy sound system in, and contracted with a company who stopped updating their Nav CD's for PCM I.

MY03 and newer have the MOST fiber optic system - which are difficult to work around since you end up disabling the fiber optic system to hardwire in a conventional system.

For a MY99 (to MY01) there is nothing special since it is a conventional system. Any good aftermarket shop should be able to help you.

I also have a 99 C2 without Bose and bought the factory bose sub box for behing the rear seats. My cdr220 is set up for only 4 channels , so i bought an oem Harmon 6ch amp. I want to run the 4 speakers and the sub box. Or should i just use an aftermarket amp to run the sub off of the head unit C6 pin on the diadram you posted?

Loren,

MY02 and newer have the MOST fiber optic system - which are difficult to work around since you end up disabling the fiber optic system to hardwire in a conventional system.

Thanks for the info. I thought the '02' did not have the MOST system.
