Help auto window features not working

Recommended Posts

Just finished installing an Optima 34R and when I reconnected it I got no response from any electrical. So I put the key in the ignition figuring it was some kind of anti-theft, well it did the trick except for the auto window features? ie when you open the door the window recesses to clear the upper wind guard, and the one touch feature is not working. I have checked all the appropriate fuses and they are good. Any insight is greatly appreciated

Try re-training the windows. Hold the button down until the window goes down all the way - then do the same for the up motion.

Your car may also idle rough for the first few minutes as the DME will need to re-learn the idle. And... don't forget the radio code.

All this shows you correctly disconnected the battery before carrying out your electrical work. The window down and up thing allows the 'finger pinch protection' to re-learn the end stops for the windows. Sometimes you need to do a full down, full up then click and hold in the up position for another couple of seconds.
