  2. Probably a dumb question, but I’m mid-install of the Rennline ignition coils and I got the matching hardware kit that goes with them. The 2 longer bolts per coil make sense, but I’m confused on the 4 bolts and “spacers” that come with it. The kit says these are for the “exhaust heat shields”, but I’m not visually seeing where these would go or if they are even used on my car. I do have aftermarket bypass pipes and muffler so maybe that matters? MY 2000 base Tip Link to kit: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/RENM67HARDWARE.htm?pn=REN-M67-HARDWARE
  3. I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid of disturbing the force, but since the window issue started up again yesterday screw it I'm telling my story. A year ago I went all in and replaced both the regulator and door harness and for two days the problem remained. On the third day it was cured! It's been a glorious year driving my fully functional car. Nothing could get me down, even when I had to pay the dealer $720 for a god **** key fob. I was totally infatuated. Until I took a corner the other day and the window jumped up and down once again. Although it still seems to act on it's own randomly, I seem to be able to force the issue by pushing on the door card between the speakers and the grab handle. I'm guessing some kind of wire or grounding issue. Or possibly demonic possession.

  5. Has the car been in an accident? You have two short circuits on the starter relay - check fuses and inspect the relays for damage Also, check to see that the MAF is plugged in and not damaged.
  6. It might be helpful if you have a photo showing the fault code numbers. Thanks!
  7. 8. Used sets I haven't found, the Dido ones I know well, since I actually have one set but don't really like them. What I would really like are the ones in the photo I posted.
  9. Back in the day, I remember them being optional parts. There are currently multiple used sets on eBay, and there were some aftermarket suppliers as well, such as an outfit called Dido Tuning :
  10. Do you know whether these were sold as add on parts or only sold as a cluster? Any P/Ns?
  11. They may no longer be available due to the part's age, which is not uncommon. You might check with a dealer to see if any still are on the shelf somewhere in the system.
  12. Are/were the silver rings ever available to buy? I never found them available for sale. This is a Porsche stock photo in the Porsche Shop entry for the leather key ring in the photo, so I suppose this is 100% stock, and they would be available either as a factory option for the cluster or separately? Can't find any associated P/N anywhere though.

  14. Base brake discs: front - 298 mm rear - 292 mm S brake discs: front - 318 mm rear - 299 mm While the S calipers might fit the pads would hang over the edges of the disc rotors. So I doubt they are S calipers.
  15. I have a 2.7l 986, but I believe it is fitted with S calipers (they are red and say Porsche on them so haven't been repainted). The brake discs, however, have the diameter measurements of the base discs. Is it possible to fit S calipers on the base discs, or have I just mis-measured? Thanks!
  16. Hello Lauren, I have a 1996 Porsche 911 CR-210 R 2095 SN# T500 16 11 Thank you
  17. Porsche only - find a donor car to get them from.
  18. Muchas gracias. Cuales serían las recomendadas?
  19. Es un 955 S del 2005. Suspension neumática paquete confort
  20. Please tell us the exact year model of your car.
  21. Hola buenas. Soy Oscar de Zaragoza España tengo un 955S y quisiera poner levas al volante del 955. Alguien sabe o hay algún tutorial por ahí? Gracias
  22. A scan of the car with a Porsche specific tool (Durametric, PIWIS) can identify if the M535 anti-theft/immobilizer system (Central Locking Unit or CLU) is present and functioning. Diagnostic tools like Durametric or Porsche System Testers can query the alarm module for error codes, confirming its status. This system is also located under the driver's seat.
  23. Replying now! As I’ve been finding forums especially useful recently. I tried filling trans with fluid, repaired all corroded splices under carpet, no change! Car still gave the same symptoms. I ended up replacing the transmission with a used but good unit. Solved my problem! Car ran and drove great for another 6,000 miles, then sold it to buy a pickup truck. Anyway, wanted to share that yes, those symptoms above led me to swap the tranny and that solved my issues. P.S. I bought this cayenne used for 1,000 with this condition, ran great and the rest of the vehicle was in great shape for being 14yrs old and having 160,000 miles. Although it would not drive forward or backwards… $300 transmission with a warranty and we were back in business!!
