    Porsche included a few select PIDs in the DME manuals up until the DME 7.2. Since then they have not included any PIDs - I suspect because of their proprietary nature. About the only way to get them would be to de-construct the DME firmware - which is likely what companies like Durametric have done. Not an easy task and you likely need a great deal of prior knowledge of DME architecture.

    Sorry, but the amp only powers the speakers. I wonder if your stock speakers have been changed and have the wrong resistance (ohms). If so that would draw more power from the radio.

    That is the correct position for the factory install. Just to be clear... only when you play a CD? I assume you are using store bought CDs and tried both home burned and store bought?

    Non contact pyrometer or a kitchen temp probe are the DIY favorites. Thanks! I need to get one of those.. You can find one on Amazon for less than $20: Dang.... now I had to buy one of those (actually the higher temperature version 630) :D

    :welcome: I can think of a couple of other things... - have you looked to see if there is anything else on the circuit -- like a 3rd party DSP or radar detector or ? - any wire splices under the front dash? or taped wires from a previous install?

    Try 0624 Thanks for the quick response, unfortunately those numbers don't work...and I tried it three times. So I'll be waiting for anymore combinations you may think will work. Thanks! If you followed the instructions in the Lost Radio code FAQ and gave me the correct serial number then there is nothing more I can do for you. If that is the serial number your radio reported then it is likely your radio has been repaired without following the Becker (the radio manufacturer's) procedures. Well thanks Loren, I'm not sure about anything being repaired, as I bought the car a couple days ago, the dealer said they didn't have a code, I googled codes, and I found this site. So after the wait period is over, I will try to get those codes again to double check, but idk. Thanks though! Alright...so the waiting period ended, tried again to no avail. Decided to double check instructions. I'm sorry, but the serial is actually Y5041100, with the 4462. I'm sorry I didn't put the second zero originally. I hope this is the reason the code you originally gave me isn't working :) thank you again! I have enjoyed very much the sound of the engine lately... For that serial number try 4194
