  1. 74mm 14 flute - $3.99 at Pep Boys (3/8" drive)
  2. Start here... Adjusting Hood Latch Mechanism
  3. Yes, 5 watts. If you have clear side markers then you will need the orange bulb (in the US).
  4. My advice is to be very very careful. A new PIWIS from Porsche is $18,000. There have been many software updates - so check the version. There is one on eBay right now for $20,000 (the price is ridiculous because it is higher than US list). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-PIW...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. That looks like it - does your car have the wiring in place?
  6. As of MY02 all 911 models are fitted with belt tensioners and belt-force tensioners. The pyrotechnic ball belt tensioner is combined with the belt-force limiter in one unit. Yes, disconnect the battery and remove the key from the ignition. Wait at least 5 minutes before proceeding. The electrical connection (fuse/trigger) to the seat belt reel will likely need a screwdriver to remove it. If the belt fires the tensioner then it will have to be replaced.
  7. Please keep your content to Porsche related items - thank you.
  8. Ah... the spoiler light. If you have a fixed spoiler then it is normal to come on until the car reaches 5 mph.
  9. You only need to remove the wheel to replace the wheel well lining. See the DIY for the gas flap lock - we removed the whole wheel liner there. Replacing the Gas Door Actuator
  10. Model and model year? Us/Canada car or RoW?
  11. A1 goes to the cluster B1 goes to the 8 plug socket on the engine (current distribution)

    Light Weight FlyWheel
  13. 7.75 is in liters not quarts. 7.75 liter = 8.19 quart [uS, liquid] From the 987 service manual:
  14. Yes, to me that means they all start as the same shell on the production line. Different cars then get different fenders, strengthening supports, etc.
  15. According to the parts list they all start with the same body in white part number.
  16. Search is your friend... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=29574
  17. Then you should PM Porschelibrarian...
  18. The coils packs sit on the end of the spark plug connectors. So you just remove a wheel and the heat plate over the spark plugs and inspect the coil packs for cracks or damage.
  19. Boxster - 8.50 liters (8.98 US quarts)
  20. Model and model year of the car? I assume UK (RoW)?
  21. I would start by checking the microswitch on the engine cover latch.
  22. DO NOT use a pickle fork. Use the tool described here
