  1. How do I adjust my Litronic lights on my 996 ? They work fine with the auto regulating system, but I find them a bit to high adjusted all the time. Thanks in advance. :)
  2. hmmm.....Sounds strange. It works perfect on my car. Check the diode once again maby.
  3. Haha...that would look nice. Even the 767 A&E compartment is very big. Well WARDHOG did you solve the problem ?
  4. You should be able to see how much presure the Turbo´s are giving you. I would say around 0.9 Bar is normal with full throttle. Hot weather and dry air will slow down the car.
  5. :jump: But it only works if there is no power source at all.
  6. Sounds like E-gas problem to me. Maby try to disconnect the battary for 2 min to reset all systems. Works on a Airbus plane :D
  7. "right next to the window when unlocking the car............" MUhahaaa Well if that is what they want I need to bring my car in....Can lock/unlock or open/close the cab roof from around 30 meters away from the car. Print out the TSB and show them next time.
  8. By the way.... a warm welcome to Renntech. :welcome:
  9. What mod have you done exatly ? http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2470 This mod will work for sure.
  10. ohh yes LVDell is right..... I was only thinking about the rear tires.
  11. So suddenly after around 6-7 years with the 996 they find out that every 30K you need to have spark plugs changed........sounds like a ripoff.
  12. Hmm does not look good at all, but as all the other say, try not to worry to much since you still have warrenty on the car. Just surfed around and found this little poem on Rennlist 964 forum... It doesn’t make noise, it sings It doesn’t leak, it exude sweat It doesn’t break down, it stops for a while It doesn’t consume fuel, it taste liquid It doesn’t become dirty, it is less clean It isn’t a car, it is a Porsche So remember...... It doesn’t leak, it exude sweat Good luck with the car.
  13. Hahaa...... Well maby he put his wife in the front compartment :-)) What a waste of time to do...
  14. 285 is the higest you can go.....tried with 295 but feelt I got to much side slip. With 285 it runs super and we all like big tires.
  15. To work in a VW type 1 ? you must be crazy..haha Well can´t help with that, but good luch with that project. Try your local Porsche dealer maby.
  16. D A M N just thought about it. Change the dashboard and aircon light to blue and set the PCM system to daylight only. plus change the small light that point on the center panel to blue also. All would then be in white, blue and red......more or less.
  17. Hey Scouser. I was just about to ask about the Aircon light. It must be possible somehow. Are the LED standard 3 or 5 mm LED which you can just buy in a electronic shop ? The avarta is made by a guy on Rennlist which was bored and offered to make them if we just posted a picture. Think it looks cool. Just start up Photoshop and go ahead :D
  18. Could we post the mod instruction here on Renntech ? one technical forum is enough....and this is the best :-)
  19. There is more to it besides just the bypass. The dimensions on the bypass pipes have to be right in order to make the correct backpressure, plus I know the old PSE muflers are made in another way inside the mufler.
  20. Nope, the M680 DSP amp. is 6*60 W just like the M490 but the sound is much better and you have more adjustment possibilities.
  21. Okay, the thing with the beer never happend to be......I am to fast
  22. Well I drive around with 295/40-18 on the rear. That is okay, and it looks **** cool. BUT I will change then back to 285 next time. Not quite sure about how an insurence company would look at it if something happens.
  23. Krisd. Read the tobic about PSE cut off in the How to do section. That describe the only and perfect way to do the job. I did the job with a switch so now I can decide if if want the PSE speed cut off to work or not. Very easy to do. Cost around 2 USD and takes 30 min max. Good luck........the sound of the PSE is GGRREEAAATTTT
  24. It is quite funny and scary to read how things are done in other countries. Here in Denmark is says that the Porsche shop goes thru the car with the insurence guy and they decide what can be accepted. plus if you are using the car for driving to work and it is not possible for you to use public transportation you are allowed to rent a car in the the same standard as the one being damaged. When some *** hit my 944 a long time ago I got a Audi A4 V6 quadro with all options. I have not tried it with my 996...................yet :drive: Good luck over there.
