  1. As Loren says it is held by vacuum in off. But there must be a spring or something that holds it in open then. Loren ? :lightbulb:
  2. You are aware of the automute function between 50 and 70 KM/H ?? You could have the vacuum lines check to see if there is any leak, as far as I know it it vacuum that is closing and opening the switch. :drive:
  3. You will not find that topic, that was removed by the webmaster/administrators. It is a pain in the *** to get those manuals. I still miss the complete 2001 wiring diagrams for my car. But good luck. :)
  4. Well that is a little bit to high. Normally is used 0W-40 or maby 5-10W-40 or 50. I would have it changed asap.
  5. Yep, Neo601 is right. I have the old 8 Bit system PCM1 and for me here in Denmark it not very good. You can easily upgrade to PCM1 version 2 (16 Bit version) but that cost around 1300 Euro (If someone can get it cheeper let me know) The upgrade includes new cd reader plus the 5 cd´s for Europe. Just find it a little rude that Porsche charge 1300 Euro for something that should have worked from the beginning. I mean here in Denmark the coverage is so bad that you can easily drive 100 km on a unknown road. But I still love the car :drive:
  6. When it shuts down...does you loose all electrical supply or do the instrument still light up ? will the starter rotate ?
  7. Haha..... Even my wife starts to look back now
  8. Well the light in the instrument get´s its signal directly from the car/motronic system. (If you have E-gas) If not it is a complete other story ! The Stalker is getting power from fuse B7 and is sending all the signals back to the Car/Motronic modul in the back of the car. I would check the up side of fuse B7. Does the green light come on when you start the car ? if not it could be the bulb. I installed Cruise control and made the OBC hack with the 4 stalker unit myself, so I know all the wiring diagrams for that.
  9. Welcome to Renntech. Hope you will enjoy it in here, I certainly do. :welcome: Nice picture. :welcome:

    A/C is out

As far as I know. It is a good idea to turn on the A/C once in while so the system is not standing still for month. It is probaly just some new "gas" which is needed.
  11. Yep, the color is seal grey. Really love that color. And the blonde..........she was part of the package :D
  12. You are absolutly right my996, this parking can p*i*s*s people off. We where just parked there for 10 min so I took the chance. B) Good luck with the work.
  13. Yep, I will know about the garage. I will soon have some pictures there also. By the way great car Rob
  14. How to avoid scratches from other cars when parked :D
  15. Finally I got my own homepage so I could show you some pictures of my car. Here it is. :drive: Sorry they are large
  16. I got the PCM allready, So it should be easy to install. Rob, you got mail.
  17. uuuhhhhh.....I like to see the step by step instruction for that one :o ..........6-8 hours later.... and now you see the evaporator. good luck with that one
  18. Okay, so that means that if you buy that special amp. with DSP it will work right away and you will then get the graphic equalizer option. Does anybody know the price of the DSP amp or if they can be found used on Ebay ? Is there any "weak" speakers in the car that is a good idea to start with and any good replacement ideas ?
  19. I have the PSE with the switch installed. Sounds super cool and the wife woun´t notice when you are late :-)
  20. My car is MY2001. It is not that the sound now is bad, but it could need a little bost. But how is the DSP system working, is it a seperat modul or what ?
  21. Hey. I have a 996 C2 Cab, with the normal 6 speakers sound package. Is it possible to upgrade that to the Bose system with DSP ? Or maybe just to get the DSP ?? Thanks for any reply
  22. How do I remove the door panel with the 2 switches on inside the car. ? I can remove the 2 rubber plugs, but I can´t see anything to unscrew. I am working on to get the wire harness from the cruise control hack I have done down below that panel. :help:
  23. Now it is official from Porsche. :welcome: http://www.porsche.com/Precision911/pd.asp Haha.....looks cool. :clapping:
