  1. Your car may not have the wire-ing harness for the phone. That is why your not getting any replys. Paul
  2. I had a guy tell me that when you put the car on a stretch table, you apply the stretch and release the stretch and the car goes back to it's un-stretched shape. I think it will be very dificult to stretch the pasenger wheel back into shape. You might be better to find a car that has been in a fire and put your parts on it. Paul
  3. You could put a volt oham meter on the contacts. Set it for 25 volts DC. Then have someone step on the brakes. If you see volts go up and then slowly go down, then you have a problem. It could be a capacitor or a diode problem. Let us know what happens. Paul

  6. Sounds like the hydraulic pump is wearing out. Paul
  7. There is not much clearence between the brake calipers and the wheel. If gravel gets into this area, you will see alot of scraces on the wheel. That is a good place to look. Paul

  10. It should be about 1/4". When you lift the latch the window should drop so you can open the door. Then when you close the door the window will lift 1/4" to seal the door. Check out a friend's Porsche car. Paul
  11. Sounds like the door latch part. Here is my DIY for replacing the latch on a 997. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?/topic/32134-door-latch/ If you can roll the window all the way up but it dosn't drop when you open the door, then it is the latch. Good luck. Paul
  12. That's a good price. I am sure it would take a couple hours to pull everything apart and put it back together. Paul
  13. I have never done this but maybe you could drop a long wire down the fill tube. Then you could pull the wire out and see if it is dark or clear. Make sure to use a strong wire because you don't want it to brake. You probably do not need to go to deep into the motor with 9 quarts in it. Paul
  14. You can have the alingment set for track use. They add very small shims in the front to increse the camber. I noticed that the car gets light above 150mph. I feel that a new nose that reduces the front lift would help. Paul
  15. I have used it. It does a real good job. The downside is it takes alot of labor. I started with the front bumper and then went to the hood. Still working on the hood. Paul

  19. My definition of 'better' on the street would be to reduce the plowing that takes place during hard cornering with a stock suspension. Plowing is a result of going into the corner to fast. The secret to fast times is going into the turn slow and out of the turn fast. Try it on one of your favorite turns and you will see the secret. Paul
  20. You could dis-connect the battery and lock the car with a key. Then in two months, you unlock the car and connect a charger to the cigaret lighter. This will give you power so you could unlock the trunk and re-connect the battery. Paul
  21. What I mean by better is lower lap times. I noticed from pictures that medium speed turns would cause the inside front wheel to raise. It was like going thru the turn with three wheels. The stiffer sway bar kept the car from rolling in the turns. This gave me more contact patch on the asphlat. I was able to not scrub off speed and my lap times went down. I run street tires and I had the wheels aligned for track use. Paul
