  1. To replace the plastic water tubes with the light alloy ones, engine drop is no longer needed. Removing of the intake manifold, the water pump and the thermostat housing suffice. Are you sure that the TSB you refer to is not a V6 fuel line issue ?
  2. Every PROFFESSIONAL car vendor is obligatory to give ONE YEAR warranty starting at delivery day by low, on hidden faults, independent or dealer ( law consumer protection ) in Belgium. I have no idea in the US.
  3. Tape the radio off only in the area where the alarm contact spot is so that if someone will remove the radio, the alarm can get off. If you tape the radio complete off or disconnect the wiring on the contact spot the alarm system ( only radio ) is out, everybody can remove the radio than without warning.
  4. Your tool looks a better one, the contact area is much bigger.
  5. You are correct, there are probably problems with Porsche technical support in East Europe.
  6. Do you mean the fans behind the radiators in the front ? Low or high speed missing ? They should work continuously with the air condition on. They are accessible after removing the inner wheel well liners.
  7. Understood Richard, i have a visit next Tuesday at a dealership and i will check for separate stalk availability.
  8. Look out for cracks in the plastic filter cover with this system Tool Pants.
  9. Contains two mass flywheels oil in the US ?
  10. The white ball joint will break when the central open/close handle is not fully released and the hook stays partial in the latch.
  11. Loren Tips have gearbox oil in the differential part, C 4 even till the exit on the main drive shaft. Filler is in the side drive shaft area.
  12. 1) Brake performance is the same. The pads can make noise while braking. The pads can make a clicking noise when manoeuvre forwards-backwards and braking ( for example when you park the car between two other cars in the street ) 2) OK 3) Contra weight against vibrations ( = noise )
  13. Chriz The single wire go's in the blue connector pin 3 and in the stalk pin 5. Installing the wire and the stalk is an easy DIY. Program the DME and STEERING WHEEL ELECTRONICS is a dealer job. Richard The stalk is available separately and screwed in the backing unit, cars without cruise have no stalk there is nothing to exchange, the backing unit is still the same. Hope it helps.
  14. Chriz You can buy the stalk separately, it is not exchange. The single wire go's in the electric connector-fuse box in the engine room under the left wiper, i let you know tomorrow in which connector and possition.
  15. The sun visor base is screwed and hooked in the car frame, wiggle with the visor till the base come off.
  16. The warranty is still 2 years for drive shafts, if Filledukke's dealer will do the fix inclusive the part for free, all the costs are for the dealer than.
  17. Loren is right 997 is different in range 1.
  18. 987 fuel cut at 7200 rpm range 1: 7200-7500 range 2: 7500-7700 range 3: 7700-7900 range 4: 7900-8400 > probably engine damage range 5: 8400-9500 > engine damage range 6: 9500-11000 > engine damage Bosch Cartronic ( DME ) 7.8 40 engine speed sensor on crankshaft.
  19. dennism Place the convertible in service possition and remove the trim/carpet, in the insulator foam left and right under the trim are two pre-cut pieces, remove them and the shock top fixation comes visible.
  20. It looks urgent !! Place the convertible hood in service possition, the DME = CARTRONIC is located behind the trim under the convertible/clam shell in the environment of the hydraulic pump, 2006 is probably screwed on. Hope it helps.
  21. It is normal, the left is the engine air intake to the air filter with the water screen, the right is open to vent the engine room, you can see the fan.
  22. I don't no what the intention was to bleed the front brakes only and a couple of weeks later the rest of it, the best is to bleed the complete hydraulic system in one move to be sure to have fresh fluid in the system, this besides. I think you have a problem a) still air bubbles in the clutch hydraulic system - bleed again B) one or both clutch hydraulic pumps sucks air - check and replace c) cracked pressure plate - disc will easily slip on full throttle, low RPM, in highest gear.
  23. I should replace or repair the starter, lubricating the gear and axle mechanism is not always sufficient at that mileage. It's up to you.
  24. To be short, PCM need OBC - OBC don't need PCM
