  1. There is a screw behind the belt on top of the trim in the reinforcement area, all the rest are clips, you have to pull on top of the trim and lift a little so that the bottom fixation pin can come out.
  2. Check the electric connector in the A - pillar for corrosion. You have to open him with a torx key.
  3. If you got the same result when pulling on the outside or inside door handle be sure that the door lock is faulty. You have to change the lock, you can do it by yourself if you are handy. There are two critical points, the insert of the door lock cylinder extension and the outside door handle connection. There is a lot of information to dismount the door trim on this forum.
  4. Do you have battery troubles than. Bad battery's can hive you odd things like buzzing electrovalves and bad working engines, check this out befor you strip the car.
  5. You have to LOOK first!!! It takes only one hour, if you are not sure try to find spare ones and do a test or go to the dealer for an inspection.
  6. In case of problems with coils, spark plugs or injectors the CEL stays always on. In case of cat. problems the CEL blinks over 6000 RPM and go's out below 6000 RPM, this is typical for ROW cars. The misfire indication in the memory is the same as for a bad coil, only the CEL function is different. You have to look on the front and rear side of the cat, there are only two cats on a ROW 2003 one left and one right.
  7. The amount of KM is not the question, the question is what has happened!
  8. Typical catalyst problem, once over 6.000 rpm the cats can not absorb the volume of exhaust gasses they're cleaning capacity are reduced, take apart the cat section and give a look inside with a endoscope, i bet that they are partial blocked or even melted. The CEL will blink at that moment, if you loose the throttle the CEL go's out.
  9. The Porsche crest on the hatch is a modification, mostly on V6, there are a lot over here.
  10. You need fault codes for alarm issues ( alarm horn beeps twice ). PIWIS or similar tool is necessary to read out.
  11. Look for good connection rubber intake hose to throttle body, small crack in oil filler pipe, AOS + connections and pipes, vacuum line to the brake booster and brake booster as well, all small vacuum lines coming from the engine area and their connections etc. Good hunting.
  12. Go to your dealer 99% chance that a new wake up procedure can help.
  13. The left rear fog light is used for R H Traffic. The right rear fog light is used for L H Traffic. No more no less.
  14. The circuit routing is, alternator - starting motor - box. In other worths the alternator + wire is connected with the starter + wire on the starter input.
  15. If you can hear the washer motor, let someone operate the stalk and look in the battery area, probably a water valve leak you can press the valve back together
  16. @ Tool Pants The Boxster engines M96/23 and M96/24 2003 have no longer the plastic tubes and have nothing to do with variocam plus. You can check it in PET 7, this engines have other cylinder heads than the previous ones and other coils. The difference in coils is essentially the pipes that have an other design.
  17. What i mean is that the connectors are straight on top ( 12 hour ), those with plastic tubes are inclined ( 01 hour ) and cylinder 4 is the most difficult to set. Some small details are changed, the AOS is changed and a more resistant rubber tube for the leaking bellows, fuel system etc.
  18. The side walls of the N coded tires are stiffer than the same size, same brand non N coded tyres. Try this out in your tyre store, take only the tyre not a complete wheel. The N coded tyres are the perfect match with the European suspension ( harder ), i don't no what the impact is with the US suspension ( softer ).
  19. The outside trim on the C pillar is the most difficult, you have to remove the plastic top trim, the side trims and the windows to do the job good and invisible.
  20. mother The + cable is situated in the small + box on the right side next the throttle body, the small cable coming from the dash is in the two major connectors on the right side of the engine room. There is no ground cable screwed on the alternator.
  21. You are right, engines where the coils are mounted strait up and two camshaft sensors on the right side have no longer plastic tubes.
