  2. For PCM 2 is no code needed, only the car chassis number have to be changed and maybe a new wake up have to performed. ( European cars )
  3. Winter tyres in combination with the standard 17'' wheels is in my opinion the best solution, good driveability, easy to find and not to match expensive.
  4. Parrot will work fine, most problems are installation issues. Go to a good installer.
  5. In the most cases as your problem, they change the hydraulic valve bloc that's build in the gear box. You are not the only one with this problem.
  6. Hi The coolant color changes from green to pink red in 2006, probably a mix or a residue from the older green coolant with the newer pink. Nothing to worry about.
  7. The update CD comes with the new DVD and a note that only a OPC is qualified to do the update, the reason is simply if there gos something wrong during the update procedure they can do a correction.
  8. They read out the PCM completely with PIWIS and read in the new unit, if nothing go wrong, al the addresses are saved.
  9. Hi Check the door lock, the build in switch is faulty. Success.
  10. Hi Remove the electric part of the ignition switch ( two small screws ) once removed you can turn the key fully to the off position and remove him. The electric part of the switch is faulty, replace that part. Regards.
  11. Hi It's much easier to release the handbrake with the wheels already off, you got more space to work.
  12. The stainless lower shield is real stainless and is mounted upon the original plastic shield. Regards.
  13. Porsche does something for you in this case if your dealer push a little bit.
  14. The problem is to match air diffusers for a single system, the front comes in the first place.
  15. Hi All Cayenne's with single air conditioning system have this problem, there is no fix for so far as i now, only the dual system ( option ) is powerful enough to regulate the interior temperature in country's with a lot of sunshine.
  16. The problem is the CD drive, go to a OPC, they now what to do in this case.
  17. The door speaker box top screw can by the reason, they come loose al the time.
  18. When the spring goes over-center is exactly what i mean whit basculante.
  19. Whit a AC in good condition the cooling fans in the front of the car are working continuously ( 986 - 996 ). If the AC system is empty by a leak, the fans are no more activated and starts only if the engine temp. comes high commanded by the DME. Maybe that the US version is different.
  20. Hi There is no reset, check the wiring and the sensors. New sensors are recommended.
  21. The dealer have to read out the old cluster, before removing, with the PIWIS tester and read in the new cluster after installing.
  22. Do you have current on the fuse ? If not check the light switch.
  23. Hi Maybe it is not to late to save your engine, stop cranking the engine, if an amount of cooling water penetrates in to the cylinder liner by a faulty cylinder gasket during overnight and you crank the engine, while the piston start his compression stroke, the thin cylinder liner will crack ( hydraulic fluid cant by compressed ) Build the engine out of the car, dismount the cylinder heads and look for faulty gaskets or leaking gallery plugs, both issues can repaired in the shop. If you have already a cracked liner or one of them sits deeper than the others, a factory rebuild engine with warranty is a solution. Good luck.
