During the 50's, for the Insurance, a car with 2 seats was classified as sports car, 4 seats as family car, coupe or GT, which clearly had to pay less premium in domestic and most of the West European countries. As Europe, at the time the larges market for the brand, had such a solution the best chance of sales success.

  5. May vary depending the programming, with factory/delivery programming the A/C is turned on as default. It is in these circumstances normal behavior.
  6. As others already reporting electrical problems can cause strange problems, anyway it looks like that the reported problems are all speed signal related. In this context a problem with the ABS system is not too far away since the unit is responsible for the further distribution, to other control boxes, of the speed signal. It is perfectly possible, with a PIWIS, to determine whether the signal arrives in to the unit or not, and whether it is further distributed. A weak signal can be caused by a too high resistance in the wiring/connectors, etc. due to corrosion and can be temperature related.

The oil pressure is higher when the engine is cold because the oil is thicker when cold (bounded by the pressure control valve), as the oil warms up it will be thinner and thus, at identical engine speed, the oil pressure drop. Keep in mind that the oil pump generate flow, the pressure is determined by restrictions inside the engine, and bounded/controled by the pressure valve. If the restrictions increase in size by wear, excessive bearing clearance, inner leaking chain tensioners, etc., the pressure will reduce at identical engine speed. Hope it helps a little.

The Cayenne V8 Turbo MY04 for "Nylon" has ID9L as engine code and using a compressor without magnetic clutch, part # starting with 948 ... the natural aspirating V8 with engine code ID9K uses the same. The Cayenne V6 with engine code ID9J do have a compressor with magnetic clutch, part # starting with 955 The Turbo S did not exist yet. (MY04)

  12. Attention here, Cayenne do not use AC compressors with a magnetic clutch, The used compressors runs continuously and the pressure control is done in a different way. Take note of such compressors should never run with too little or no refrigerant, otherwise they break down due to lack of lubrication.
  13. The dual-mass flywheel does not seem the problem of the CEL becouse the CPS is positioned opposite the starter gear on the flywheel, which forms part of the fixed portion , thus directly bolted to the cranckshaft. The sensor signal should have no affect of a defect damping second part of the flywheel. A very slichtly winding cranckshaft is possible, but then the engine should have an RMS oil loss. I would search for the problem elswhere.
  14. Of course you can, only it will cost quite a bit if you want the OEM set-up, custom wiring, etc. I would look around for a good and reliable after market brand, this would be several times cheaper.
  15. The "S" in the VIN is the construction site (plant): Stuttgart, Cayenne hase an "L" in the VIN: Leipzig, etc.
  16. If the oil level is held between the max. and min. mark, oil pressure will be the same. Anyway, if the level falls below the min. mark, under certain conditions, the pump no longer sucks oil and the pressure drops instandly, no oil = no pressure. It goes without saying that this situation must be avoided in the interests of the service live of the engine. Simply respecting the recommended oil level will already prevent many inconveniences.
  17. The intake air flap under the AC air filter is speed related, take a look if something is going on there, loose connection etc.
  18. Oil pressure and oil level are two different things, oil pressure has no influence on the AOS system, but the oil level must not exceed the maximum mark, no way. Put the oil level correct and try again.
  19. I'm always serious, never mess with yellow connectors and their wirings. Follow the wiring and look where they arrive, that would be a good start, or use a diagram, this is even better.
  20. Yellow connectors are mainly used on airbag systems, check with a PIWIS whether the system is still intact and working, seems to be a abnormal situation if you ask me.
  21. I suppose this is a manually adjustable seat. What you call the "seat shock" is basically a help tool to move the seat forward, and is rarely if ever the cause of problems relating to the forward/backward movement of the seat. I would start looking into the adjustment mechanism previously, maybe the possition of both rais, left/right, are not the same, the difference of a tooth for example, or another issue. Remove the seat and take a look more closely. This seems to me the best option.
  22. That sounds indeed better, A/C condensation water is always cold. Heating water still hot. I do not undertand it as well.
  23. Clean all traces of oil to start with and re-check the problem after some time, it does at least not a serious leakage, if there is one.
  24. The result is equal to zero, the camshaft covers are treated with a small amount of sealing agent, not with a rubber gasket.
  25. Have you already, as requested, replaced the fuel pump relay or at least the relay bridged?
