  1. I have a 1999 cab that has one of the hydraulic cylinders is leaking. Is there any company that rebuilds them or do they have to be replaced? If they need to be replaced any suggestions on where to order them instead of paying Porsche their price? Thanks for any information.
  2. I am interested in the contact as I have a cylinder leaking also. My e-mail address is spanky9850. Thanks for your help
  3. I have a ram leaking also. The question I have is where can I get it rebuilt. I live in Oshkosh Wisconsin. The last time I paid $250.00 for a used one and I would rather rebuild the one I have now. I have a 1999 cab. Thanks for any info.
  4. Loren, I have a 1999 996 that I could use your help for the radio code. The Becker unit is a 220 model 4362 ser # X5020790. Thanks Spankey
  5. digigo, Had the same problem. Found a used cylinder for $250.00 from Okalhoma Foreign and replaced in about 2 hours. Doesn't matter which side you get as they are interchangable. Spankey
  6. I have a 99 cab with Savana tan interior. The privious owner must have been a smoker because I have two burn holes in the carpet on the driver side. I am thankful the seats don't have any burn holes. I am also looking for replacement carpet and haven't had any luck finding a supplier for replacement carpet. The spots are not that noticalble but they bother me and I want to replace the carpet. If anyone has a supplier contact I would appriciate the information. Thanks Spankey
  7. I am interested and live in Ocala Florida if the top is still availabe? Al e-mail is aloysius3@cox.net quote name='Kim' date='Nov 23 2007, 12:46 PM' post='86092'] In the Atlanta / Marietta area, I have a black hard top, in new condition, from my 2000 Cab. I figure if I haven't had it on the car since I got home from the purchase, I never will. Its hanging from my garage ceiling on a hoist I bought for that purpose. Reimburse me the $100 for the hoist (cost $150+ new), and take both hoist and top with you. Includes OEM cover for the top and the OEM tool for the fasteners. PM me if you're interested.
  8. I have a 1999 cab and the cover is loose that attaches the mirror to the door. Does anyone have removal and installation instructions for the mirror housing? Thanks
  9. Looking for the part number for the driver side hydrualic ram for the convertable top as this one is leaking. Would also appriciate if anyone would know the price of the ram. Is this a DIY change out? Thanks Spankey
  10. Thanks for the information but after I filler the reservior and everthing worked at first then the pump started sucking air again. Further investigation showed that the driver side hydraulic ram is leaking. Is there instructions on removing / installing the ram? Is the ram repairable or does it need to be replaced? Does anyone have a part number for the ram and an idea on the cost? The car is a 1999 cab 996. Thanks Spanky
  11. Check in Pelican Parts. It shows it as being superseded by a similar number, but has something to do with the seat adjuster. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/PartsL...mp;Line_Item=13 Thanks, That looks like the piece.

  13. Would someone what this trim piece is for and where it is located. It was in the door storage area when I bought the car. I have looked all over the interior and can't see anything missing or that looks like this piece. (part # 996.521.317.00) Thanks
  14. Everyone thanks for your help. Took the car to the local Porsche dealer and it was the MAF. $800.00 later and I am on the road. The good news is the guy I bought it from agreed to pay 1/2 the repair bill. I am ok with that as I bought the car as is. Thanks again for the responses.
  15. Thanks for the info Loren. Would it cause any problems to drive the car today? Is this expensive to repair? A little background as we live in Florida we were coming back from picking up the car and I pulled into Automax to pick up some wax. The temp. was 93 degrees so my wife stayed in the car and I left it running. When we took off from the parking lot there was some traffic coming and I got on it coming onto the road. I never even hit 6000 RPM's but that is when the light came on. Thanks again for your help.
  16. Loren,Do you have a part # for the Bellows?1999 cab 996Thanks
  17. Just bought a 1999 cab 996 and after driving it home for 270 miles the engine warning light came on. The light stays on and I had the code read as P1125. I just bought the car yesterday and need to know if I should return it or if this code should be just reset? Being new to owning a Porsche any info on this would be appreciated. Also the car only has 36000 miles.
