  1. The home link on that model is notoriously hard to program. As I recall lots of tries and waving the sender around and about the roof switch was required. Much was written about it, don't think the battery would cause that issue. What do you mean by erratic wiper behavior ?
  2. Anyone know how hard this is to do ? The 08 I just got has new frequency so my winters will no longer work
  3. Could well be but I would make sure that both keys are set up correctly. On an 04 your main battery is way past due in age alone. I would replace it before anything more serious starts to happen
  4. After MUCH investigation. When you remove the turn signal bulb you will see 2 contacts, they seem to be mounted on a ring, some sort of suspension maybe. Anyway what I found is one of the contacts no longer makes contact with the bulb. I tried to remove the sub housing without success. My last try worked. I got some silver foil from cigarette pack (not mine) and folded it up and wrapped it over the damaged contact. When you carefully replace the bulb it gives just enough extra contact to get it working again. May work for you , may not Cheaper than replacing the cluster
  5. there may be a way to charge the system from under the passenger seat. If you could adapt the tire inflator system. The key would be the connector which contains a ring magnet to activate a reed switch to allow air out, it might also allow air in
  6. Did you change the battery under the drivers seat recently, maybe the seat became disconnected in the seat gyrations
  7. Does the car have 2 batteries ? if so which one did you replace ?
  8. That never worked after early production, a DME software change was responsible for the change
  9. Thats the common problem the MOST does not like things blinking on and off and gets confused, restart will fix but not as flexible as it first appears
  10. The Egas system on the Cayenne has a learning program and when you drive it for a while it figures out your driving style and adapts to it. When the car has been hooked up to PIWIS and had the work done you describe, they most likely reset the egas learning program and it will appear more spirited for a while until it re adapts to your driving style. I would give it a couple of weeks and see what happens.after she drives it for a while before spending any more money at the dealer.
  11. This could be a number of things, you don't say what kind of suspension you have. If you have Sensotronic steering this can give feedback through the wheel sometimes, Alignment being off can also cause strange things. Grippy aggressive tired treads can also feel like that when cold.
  12. Carden Shaft makes that noise as the center bearing starts to go, it can also produce vibration
  13. if you say the word "wummering" a few times in a row does it sound like that
  14. This time it was a fizzier, both fronts went down, i was a wedge
  15. OK my other airbag blew. Initially they said Replace, when I challenged them they told me PAG instructions are to replace both struts with matching part numbers, est $3800. I said no. They are now rebuilding the strut using the $368 part but labor is about 500, plus parts and tax this time it will be over $1000 better than 3800 I suppose
  16. Never heard of anyone doing that and I have not seen a connector to do it. Think your self lucky my right side airbag blew out on the strut yesterday :-(
