  1. They are supposed to be dim. Also, of all the issues and repairs I have read here I have yet to hear of the LEDs going out. Thank Goodness.
  2. The fix for the rounding the corner issue is to "Goose It". :P Or downshift with the paddles and the tranny will keep the RPMs consistent through the turn.
  3. I don't know what it would to the finish on Porsche leather, but Nail Polish Remover works on Super Glue. Good info about the Leather Shop and their prowess.
  4. I have the creases, but not the Fuzzy stuff. What do you use to seal the top? I can't find anything specifically for rag-tops locally.
  5. I leave the top down whenever possible. To heck with the dust, its Top Down or Bust for me. I even left the top down when I went downtown at night with the County Jail nearby. (I was a tad nervous though). As for pushing the button while activating the alarm to arm the interior sensors, what a PITA. I can hardly get that way to work, its either I push the button too long or not long enough.
  6. +1 with the Halon exstinguisher. I would suppose that if a Boxster caught fire, one would be best advised to shoot the underside of the vehicle.
  7. Those are crease marks from opening the top. No cleaning that off.
  8. LOL!! Cheap crap on a Porsche........Good luck with that. Everyone will snicker behind your back, and your Porsche will die a little inside.
  9. Your AOS sounds fine, and that little bit of smoke upon startup is somewhat normal for Flat 6 engines. Mine does it once in a while, after my wife putts around in it. It rarely smokes after I drive it, but I drive my P-car like a Speed Demon. Happy Porsche-ing!
  10. I accidentally pushed my trunk latch button with the edge of my Dan Post boots and pushed the button all the way into the side panel on the driver's side. How do I get that panel off to put the button/switch back?? I pulled out the two little plugs on the side of the panel, only to find no screws or bolts just carpet. What is the trick to getting that panel off?? Thanks for the help. :renntech:
  11. Hey guys, In regard to my '04 Boxster, I have noticed that when I have the top down and go to set the alarm after locking the center console, I get a single horn beep fault upon setting the alarm. Is it normal for this to occur, or do I have a alarm fault at the center console lock?? Thanks!
  12. Getting around 22mpg city.....surprising as I speed everywhere! Knock on wood.....no problems at all with my '04 Boxster. I would like more "Top Down" weather though. :D
  13. Quite normal........I tend to succomb to the occasional taunt. Boxsters love the upper ranges and are more than happy to oblige the Lead Foot. I really need to get out to Laguna Seca one day. :D
  14. I don't mind the latch being hard to get to.......but why did they make it Red?!
  15. Pop the hood and check the mounting points for the struts and sway bars. Maybe you blew a bushing or two, the car is old enough for that to occur.
  16. Firstly, it sounds like you have regular coolant and not Porsche's special coolant in your car. (Or, your car is the Alien. LOLOL!!) Secondly, it sound like either you damaged a radiator or a hose. Time for the Shop....... not so funny.
  17. Check Alarm module maybe it got wet??
  18. I warm mine up for only a minute or so, I think the manual want folks to refrain for the normal warm up some folks do. You know, start the car turn on the heat and then wait 5 mins. to enter the car.
  19. Pull out battery, wait 10 seconds then install the battery backwards, and wait 3 seconds. Then remove battery and reinstall the correct way.
  20. Check the light switch. PS. Bertha?? I would think the car would like name Heidi better. :P
  21. The ignition switch is notorious for going out. So much so, that it is recommended to not have a bunch of keys dangling from your Porsche key when its in the ignition. Cheap and relatively easy fix though. Oops, just saw you already replaced it twice! I would suggest as the others and have the battery load tested.
  22. It is the tires. They are too hard due to the colder weather and they are not tracking correctly I noticed the same issue when the temp drops. It is advised to use winter tires when the temp falls below 45 degrees. Especially if ice or snow is a concern, you can slide right off the road!
  23. Yep, gotta have the Bun Warmers. Life just isn't right without them............Seriously! Now that my (and especially my wife's) buns know about them.
