  1. I used to worry quite a bit about RMS until I realized that RMS is an issue on many engines made by many manufacturers including the engine in the V8 Lexus LS400. I hope I don't suffer from RMS but at least I know what to look out for and catch it early if it happens. Bobby
  2. What do you all think about those xenon conversion kits using hella and phillips parts? Bobby
  3. Not if you have to spend several hundred more for a new bumper to fit those tips!!!!!
  4. What is a good switch to use for the OBC hack. I want to do the garage hack and the OBC hack and will use the Targa glass for the garage hack but want a suitable switch for the OBC. Thanks all, Bobby
  5. Get some 17 inch aftermarket wheels and put the snows on them. Why get OEM for road salt and etc. Bobby
  6. A 996 from hell is one that leaks, burns and leaks oil and the gutterel fear that when you turn the key nothing will happen. Sounds more like the dealership from hell. Get it fixed and go elsewhere. Bobby
  7. Hey Karl, Instead of purchasing the mesh from Porsche, do you think you can just buy any aluminum mesh from a hardware store or off ebay, trim it down adn add a foam gasket. The reason I ask is because the hardware store is significantly cheaper and on ebay, you can get the seller to profesisonally paint and clearcoat it. Thanks Bob
  8. Hey Loren, Its for a 99 C4 with a about 23K miles on it. I know it isn't necessary yet but its been about 4 years. What do you think about using Mobil 1's automatic transmission oil? Im happy with their perfomance and was thinking about using it. Later Bob
  9. Hey Loren, Wondering if you have any instructions on how to change out the automatic trans fluid in a tip? Thanks in advance!!! Chicagobob
  10. WTF Kirby, U selling your car already!!!! What gives??? Bob
  11. Hey BobbyBBB THis is the model I used. http://www.optimabatteries.com/products/pdf/75_35.pdf ITs the 75/35 red top. Later Bobby
  12. i put an optima red top with top posts in my 99c4 and didn't have to change any cables out at all. Works great, no leaks and cuts out 20 pounds over the OEM battery. SInce the batt is so high it should slighlty lower teh center of gravity.
  13. So if you can see the temperature under teh digital speedo then the OBC is on, right? Where is a good place to pick up the stalk? One final question. When you say 4 stalk, is one stalk for the OBC and the other three for the signals, cruise control and wipers respectively or are the four simply for the OBC. If I have to deal with 7 stalks Im going with the button. BTW, Im a new member in this forum and this is great. Thanks Chicagobob
