  1. Yeah, All car manufacturers prefer to have the speedo read higher than actual (as fines are imposed by DOT for error on the wrong side). Porsche are notorious for reading higher...no fix.
  2. Get the codes....unfortunately those lights tend to indicate MAF issues, but it could be a leak as well. Why did you install a new MAF? Was it installed properly? Was it the right PN? Any time you disconnect the battery you will get a soft reset of the DME (appears as though codes are erased, but they are not unless the conditions do not exist for multiple starts)...if the conditions that threw codes do not continue then you are good to go, if not then you will get codes again.
  3. First what type of CDs are you using (self burned). Are they scratched? Things I would try...first make sure it is secure, then run a cd cleaner disk.
  4. OK...AFAIK: X50 has K24 turbos, GT2 ICs, programming to match the K24s, GT3 oil pump. The exhaust is identical to the standard turbo (although they come with twins tips, an option for the standard TT). The tranny is also identical (I know there is published material contrary to this, but the PN's are the same and folks who have taken them apart saw no reinforced tranny). So for initial sticker price of $17,000 you got ICs, K24s and programming... discussion discussion 2
  5. LMAO...nice one OE.
  6. see here...search is your friend
  7. sounds like the fuel pump or a ruptured fuel line...
  8. Chuck...glad to hear your beru's are working OK for now...they are known to be troublesome, even Porsche does not use them on the TT. Jack, Chuck got the UMW wastegate kit. His car has been flashed, but the wastegate kit (essentially stronger springs) helps to maintain the boost as the gates don't open prematurely. This is a great mod, but may (will) not fix your issues.
  9. OK, still change the plugs...
  10. holy thread resurrection batman.
  11. First get your codes read...you do not need to get lights to throw codes. Next lose the Beru's....quick. Go with at least Bosch FR6.
  12. OK for further diagnosis we need MY, model, etc...
  13. As RFM says the procedure is in the manual...you manually crank the roof open. Then I would make sure the SmartTop unit did not come loose (did you use the velcro tie down strap?). I have heard of multiple remotetop issues....so you might remove that as well. GL
  14. +1...toluene is a typical additive in most fuels to "manage" octane rating.
  15. Hey Chuck, what is herion addiction?...sounds like fun :D
  16. Just to add....The reason the wastegate was so impressive for chuck was he already flashed the ecu...by itself without ecu mod you won't get much with the wastegate upgrade. (that being said, once you flash the WG upgrade is essential). Your car will always be limited by the weakest component. Chuck did a great job of researching, understanding what he wanted and bought components that fit nicely. I suggest you follow his model. GL...it is fun. BTW, I have also done some modification (almost bone stock right chuck). NO absolutely NO issue with engine cooling.
  17. if you are not on it...exactly as you are getting itread here
  18. Normal...variocam.
  19. It's all in your head....just different pumps/angles and insertions....
  20. Not running this set-up, but did you actually measure the diameters or are you using theoretical? You need to actually measure them...OK for fronts to be slightly bigger, but I strive for less than 1%. Have you had PSM kick in at unusual times? I run 235/35-19 and 315/25-19.
  21. drone is such a personal thing...there are plenty of aftermarket exhausts that claim to not drone. Mine does not have a drone that bothers me ( I would say it doesn't drone at all, but it is subjective). I personally never heard of afterhours exhaust (I've heard of: eurosport, fabspeed, AWE, speedtech, switzer, FVD, RUF, milltek, tubi...)
  22. I thought you just wanted the connection (though I couldn't tell which one from your pic). I redid them for you....^^
  23. I took these from the workshop manual:
  24. on a flat bed, they will hook straps around the axles....front or rear.
  25. OK, I got it (#12) moves, but the top does not move. link 1 link 2 link 3 for your reading enjoyment.
