  2. The Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Prestine Clean products, as defined in this post work well on leather.
  3. It is likely that the most cost effective approach would be to purschase wheels with the sensors already present. Remember to select the correct of two frequencies for the sensor.
  4. The supplements should be $10 each. Good luck determining the supplement number for the information you seek.
  5. It is likely that some of these may be difficult to obtain. Once gone, they may be reluctant to reproduce just one, or it may take a very long time to obtain some supplements. Also, these need to be installed sequentially. so if you are missing 40 and have 41 through 94, then you need to wait to get 40 to install the remaining supplements.
  6. Somebody has to be the first, why not you. On each of the forums, there have only been a few topics created about an interest in performing this swap. There have not been any completed, to my knowledge. Give it a shot. Feel free to post any information and queries so that I and others may provide information. Don't blame the dealership. It is likely that they do not have any factory information on this procedure. Be sure to document all the steps, with photographs as required, so that others may follow. If you decide against attempting this upgrade, you may wish to share the used part source information with another who would like to do this in your stead.
  7. The Boxter factory manual are many, many loose leaf binders. These are maintained with current information by adding and removing pages from supplements. The Boxter manual, WKD484 521 is currently at supplement 78. The downside, other than the cost, is the time and effort to bring a new purchase current. Plan on at least 20 hours of detailed and concentrated effort to add and remove pages to go through the 78 supplements to bring the manual up to date. The other down side is that there are many typographical errors in the supplement instructions, so it takes extra effort to determine the correct action, when faced with incorrect direction. The benefit is that the manual fully defines everything required for servicing the vehicle.
  8. This topic has information on adding a brake controller to the Cayenne.
  9. What are the tire road force measurements? The dealership can provide before and after road force printouts from the Hunter GSP9700. It may be that the levels are still too high.
  10. The external video input connector may be enabled by NAV-TV. The audio is rerouted to then enter through an FM modulator, instead of through MOST. The vehicle is then restricted to NOT get any new PCM2 dealership software updates flashed-in through the PST2. This topic has information on this change. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...&threadid=80567
  11. No, the second sump has about two quarts of oil. It is easy enough to pull the plastic and remove the plugs. The filter is right up front. Can't miss it once the plastic is off.
  12. Loren, There is now a TSB that describes adding a module that adds off-road navigation to the PCM2. Could you please post that TSB in the TSB forum? Thank you very much. wingless
  13. There are two drain plugs on the S and TT. Both are removed and new seal rings are used. The filter element housing has an O ring which is replaced with the filter. There is a break in the housing threads that permits using a tool to remove the O ring without damaging the threads. The plastics must be removed and replaced to change the oil.
  14. Bring it to the dealership to have it checked. Within the rear spoiler are the antennas and amplifiers. There may be a problem with that hardware.
  15. The vehicle measures the air bag resistance. When it is out of range, then it issues a fault, disabling that air bag until the fault is corrected and the fault code is cleared with the PST2. The fault code indicates which air bag is out-of-range. The fault code is obtained using the PST2. The air bag fault does NOT clear itself. It requires the PST2. The problem is likely caused by a poor connection, such as a connector not properly mated.
  16. This topic http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...threadid=110825 and this topic http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...threadid=140435 has information useful to your inquiry. Yes your pinout is correct. Pin 1, brown, is ground. Pin 2, red / yellow, is +12VDC. Pin 3, black / red, is the brake switch signal. Pin 4, blue, is the output to the trailer brakes.
  17. Items 8 and 9 are for the Entry and Drive, not for the key fob. The wire in the image is for the key fob. It does not appear to show on the exploded diagram. It may be part of the wiring harness.
  18. The original image correctly identifies the key fob antenna. No idea on the range, except it appears to be too little. Try changing the preferences to select all doors open and turn the horn beep on. I find these settings help compensate for the poor key fob range.
  19. The item 8 antenna is shown in several locations because it is located in the center console. The position is different for vehicles with four zone heating. The door handle antennas are not shown in the image.
  20. My practice is to use powdered Ajax or Bon Ami on the exterior glass. I wet the surface sprinkle some on, then work the glass clean, using my hand as an applicator. I have used this for years attaining the desired results. Be aware that the glass may be etched. Glass corrodes, like metal. This usually happens on horizontal glass, from standing water.
  21. If the '05 has a remote DVD NAV drive, freeing the PCM drive slot for music CDs only, then that would be a big plus, for me. Both the XM and Sirus satellite radio are avalable as an option on the '05. There is the '05 TT order guide: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...threadid=123991
  22. My 5/2/04 posts in this topic, http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...40&pagenumber=3 define the PCM2 mute input, show the wiring components and show the required connector dissasembly.
  23. Why not purchase the Porsche part? Part number 996 646 307 03 A03, as indicated in the Telephone module TSB. That TSB shows how to install the microphone too. It is in the Contributing Members Forum.
  24. Loren is correct. On a related topic, the CDR23 does have a monophonic telephone input that outputs sound to one front speaker, when the mute input is driven. The telephone kit, offered by Porsche, routes the remote telephone audio to this input and drives the mute input.
