  3. I have a hard time also. My wife doesn't. Better feel for how long to hit button I think. Be interested in hearing if there is more to it. Not the remote top. The one that you have to be in the car to use.
  4. And to think I once considered swapping for a black dash. My savanna dash reflects terribly, and it has no shine at all. Polarized sunglasses work for me. Have to cock my head about 10-20 degrees to see the OBC readout, however.
  5. This might have what you need. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=12805&st=0
  6. Farnbacher Loles joins 9ff and Ruf in building what Porsche refuses to do. And will build only 20 X-51 Caymans. http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...p;rssfeed=rss03
  7. Hey, we have all done stoopid things. At least you didn't put washer fluid in the brake system!
  8. Congratulations! You'll have to keep us up to date on your prep for competition and how well it plays on the street afterwards.
  9. It is always good to hear about great service. So many times the only posts are from unsatisfied owners.
  10. Here's another link. http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...65/newsletter01
  11. Thanks. Now if you had just specified duct tape and then to wipe the key with WD-40 it would have been the perfect Southern fix. :D
  12. When mine mists in AUTO mode I just hit the middle and lower fan buttons so the air is not directed to the windshield. When cold air meets hot glass condensation forms.
  13. Try this one, Dr K: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...l=ignition+lock
  14. Yooda Man, Loren! :renntech:
  15. Doesn't help me. Mine are Maui Jim browns. And like Kendo, only a problem with center gauge.
  16. Verrry interesting. Jag & Opel,,,er Saturn make strides. http://www.leftlanenews.com/honda-porsche-...ower-apeal.html
  17. I'm impressed! I'd just as soon give myself heart bypass surgery as tackle top replacement.
  18. I think it would be great. I can see my scrolling Microsoftie mouse with some graphics that would look like a Box with top up or a Box Coupe....er Cayman.
  19. Picture and story. http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...p;rssfeed=rss01
  20. I just re-measured my hard top and got 58" or 59" at the widest part (shoulder-to-shoulder) with the cloth cover on. Also measured the car at the same spot (back of passenger window to back of driver's window and got about the same. Front of top is about 46" or so. And yes - do not forget the :censored: spinlocks!
  21. You cannot screw this up. Trust me - do it your self. The voltage is easy to get. The access is simple. And you'll learn something about the car. I recommend you do it in concert with a garage door opener install if you need that.
  22. Let me add to the discussion by giving some outside observations: http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...28/newsletter01 Viper and Exige owners, Brace yourselves.
  23. I love your Refrigerator White car. Loved it back in the day when it was gonna be on my 70 911. Ex-wife stuffed it into exit off I-5 to 78 East!
