  1. Mine does show: I4E2 Interior tailgate release, electrical, but I don't see anything in the options to indicate the interior petrol door release, but I do have it.
  2. My Audi RS6 has the fuel filler door like your Cayenne. The door is locked when the car is locked, when the car is un-locked you just push on the back of the door and it opens. My '06 CTTS has the switch in the door pocket as well as for the rear hatch. Must say I don't car for the fuel switch in the door pocket, I do know Audi has done this on some of their cars, I'm glad they didn't on my RS6.
  3. Durametric is about the only thing out there for a half way reasonable price. It is getting better with revisions but still has connectivity problems with the newer Beta version. It does cost more than VCDS and unless you want to pay a lot more for one of the higher versions, you can only use it on 5 cars as it locks in their VIN #'s.
  4. xsrfs, I know what you mean. The Vagcom software for Audi & VW's is ten times the product that Durametric is and it even costs less. The Durametric cable looks like a Vagcom copy but the software isn't up to Vagcom performance. Hopefully someday it will catch up.
  5. I put a Mobridge unit in just over month ago. I did see your posts here and on Rennlist. Wish I would have seen them earlier. I do know of someone that was looking for the Mobridge, I think he also wanted the Mobridge Sat but I'll drop him a line anyways. What are you looking to get for it.
  6. Here is the option code I have: I9ZF Telephone preparation for VDA mobile phone with hands-free facility Is this the option you mean? Opposite the Homelink I only have the PDC control button & a blank dummy button.
  7. I just replaced my original Beru's with the Bosch FGR6KQE, which are 4 electrode surface gap plugs, and what the dealer just sold me. Car seems to run about the same as before but on my 50 mile round trip drive to and from work I have have now driven twice since the plug change and averaged about 1 mpg better than before. This could be attributed to the 53K on the original plugs though and not on the Bosch/Beru comparison. The dealer said the are both OEM plugs from Porsche, and that they have seen the Bosch to be a more common replacement in the last year or two compared to the Beru.
  8. How did I end up "with preparation for car phone" but with a PCM without the phone buttons in the upper left hand corner?
  9. In the manual they warn about doing certain things with the Durametric while the vehicle is moving. Other than logging some Data I wouldn't mess with any of that stuff while the engine is running and definitely not while the vehicle is moving until you have read the complete manual.
  10. Sounds like one of the airbags for the front shocks blew out or an air line going to the front shocks. Is it lower on the front left or front right?
  11. Thanks Randal J. I'll give it a try. I've noticed that many electrical problems on the Cayenne can be fixed with Contact Cleaner. The Best I have found is Pro Gold, it is also a Contact Enhancer.
  12. I have had good luck with the Hawk HPS in the past but lately on my cars I've been using EBC Reds & Yellows. They are cheaper and seem to be easier on the rotors and quiet. The Reds are completely no squeak and very low dust. The Yellows have an occaisonal squeak but may not be fully broken in yet and a little more dust than the Reds but less than OEM and they bite a little better than the OEM or the Reds.
  13. Usually when you go up an inch in wheel size you go down by approximately one aspect ratio as EvoMotion elluded to or your speedometer will not read correctly. Here is a great tires size calclulator that you can use to put in your stock size then put on plus one, two, three, etc.. sizes and calculate any speedometer error. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
  14. Yea, seems like there are many causes for this one. My '05 Cayenne TT had this problem and it was the right side, I didn't even know how to pull the headlight at the time (about 3 months ago) so I pulled the inner fender lining and pulled the connection and shot some contact cleaner http://www.amazon.com/CLEANERS-LUBRICANTS-CAIG-BRAND-PROGOLD-Solution/dp/B00006LVEW in there and it has been fine since. I had heard that the bulbs can cause this too on another list. I also had other faults from the All Wheel drive to other things popping up but I spend a day pulling every connector that I could find underneath and in the engine compartment and used the Pro-Gold cleaner on them and they have all went away. I'm not saying that the connectors are eveyone's problem but they seem to cause a lot of them and I know the Pro-Gold is a favorite in the electronics industry as it is a cleaner and contact enhancer.
  15. You definitely have some valid points. I would have thought also that there would be an overpressure limit switch to kick in and shut things down or a pressure relief valve of some kind. Definitely some poor engineering there.
  16. www.porscheoemparts.com www.suncoastparts.com www.eagleday.com Keep an eye on this site for some of the things that others are repairing or replacing. The first two sites are Porsche dealers which give great prices on many OEM accessories and parts. There are many others out there too.
  17. I agree with you, change the sending unit. I think they are around $40 at the dealer.
  18. Check a few posts below and you will find a post about a good Porsche dealer selling the Aluminum pipes for a couple hundred less than you were quoted.
  19. Yea, if the engine is not running the fluid is mostly pooled in the pan and will definitely overflow.
  20. Like I said though, you only need to register on their site to become a member, you don't have to pay.
  21. PKN, on Rennlist you don't have to become a paying member to just view and give feedback in the forums.
  22. PKN see if this link works? http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/porsche-cayenne-forum/550109-plastic-or-aluminum-coolant-pipes-how-to-tell-without-intake-removal.html
  23. I did notice that my backup camera isn't recognized by the newer PCM so I guess that means I have to get to a dealer to have him code it for the backup camera? Anyone know for sure?
  24. There is a difference in the factory recommendation whether or not you have the locking differentials. Reza, what model of Cayenne do you have and do you have locking differentials per TSB 2/04 3965
