  1. Techart...Had it on my 00 C4 and loved it!! COntact Arling at Lucent Motorsports for best Techart prices in town (I am in no way affiliated with them)
  2. check this out too... http://members.rogers.com/porsche_996/ipod_996/
  3. check this out too.... http://www.sharkworks.com/ttinfo1.asp Techart makes one too but pricey
  4. If you buy factory/OEM parts they will fit fine... If you order the aerokit from factory before buying the car they still do the same thing so the sideskirts are always an add-on and not part of the body
  5. I removed all except the accelerator...check my sig...the dead pedal is now flush with the carpet :D
  6. No motor sound kit/pkg. exists from Porsche for the 996.... :(
  7. They do pull off...I find it helpful to pull from behind the pieces (closest to front of car) then pull out sideways
  8. You need CDC-4 as it is the only one that is MOST compatible...not sure about PN though - sorry!!
  9. Porsche (at least in the US) only has memory for driver's side...Also, since only driver side seat memory stores mirror postion, it is all you need for the reverse dip function...
  10. Easy... The plastic piece/frame on the canons that says "Bose" on it can be removed - just snaps out (very fragile though!! I borke one while removing so had to buy a new one from dealer). Once you do this, you will see a large toex screw behind each of these (I think T-30 or T-35). Remove the two screws, the whole sub box slides forward and then idsconnect the cable that will be behind driver side on back of sub and you are done!! 10 minute job (not even)
  11. Ok - if you search other forums you can verify all this stuff...I think you need to be more specific and what you are comparing, body upgrades, wheels or engine stuf... RUF's engine stuff is next to none although a bit pricey. RUF stands behind their products 110%. A good example is some people were having problems with the RUF coilovers for the 996TT so RUF flew a tech from Germany to weach owner to fix the problem!! The RUF 550 kit for the 996TT put out the exact same numbers on a dyno as the Imagine Auto 600HP kit whcih only cost half as much (search rennlist, this was KPV and someone else's RUF dynoed the same day at AWE tuning). For body stuff I think Techart and Strosek are pretty good. Never tried Gemballa but heard many not so great comments on the fitment of their 993 style hood for the 996 and boxster...
  12. Actually have a Q on this....Do you know why on some CGTs the wheel cap surround (not sure waht its called) is red while on others it is blue?
  13. I think this is for regulart seats not sport seats... Also, word on the street is seats are already pre-ordered and built so you will get exactly the same seat as you have...
  14. Bet - thanks for the comliments :D Love the HREs...Actually for sale now since I am selling the car... Night time visibility is good except for one problem: I sometimes have to switch the self dimming mirror thing off as visibility from the rear with a dimmed mirror is tough!! 35% is not dark at all...Even if the law allowed darker tint I think I would still keep it at 35%
  15. I have 35% all aorund (legal limit in MA)...I like it cause its not too dark and you can see all the interior alu look stuff and painted seats when looking form rear windshield...check my sig for pics
  16. what year is your car?? all cars after 01 or 02 come with this stuff from factory.. Check hte TSBs...
  17. there is a special tool you need.... Check here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW
  18. If you have the B&M manual or can get a copy of it, the ifrst half is all about removing the console....Now that I have done it so manyh times it takes me less than 10 minutes ;)
  19. PM KPV on Rennlist or 6speed...He removed his K16s and installed K24s...there are a few tricjy steps in the process I believe...
  20. Yes you do need memory seats...I am trying to figure out since I have full electric sport seats if I can retrofit the memory function just for the mirror dipping thing LOL
