  1. Had teh same issue, the 3M kit works well, then I put a 3M paint protection film on it afterwards, hopefully it will last a little longer than reapplying UV protectant all the time.
  2. Thanks David, I end up just tapping into the harness in the trunk area. Worked out fine, everything is done and functioning.
  3. Thanks Loren, I took everything apart again, and realize the blue plug was not all the way in. Everything works now. Thanks for all your help.
  4. Thanks for all the help so far, so the radio is almost installed, after plugging battery back in and instrument cluster back in, when I put car key in ignition to On position, I get all these errors "oil level indicator failure" "temperature failure", "fuel sensor failure" "oil pressure failure" "windshield washer fluid level failure" I checked all teh connection back to the instrument cluster, the Blue, green, gray. All are secure. What is wrong?
  5. Hi everyone, So I have been doing some research before I attempt to install my own radio. I have a 2003 C4S with a MOST system, but non bose. So I have to install 4 wires from the head unit to by pass the amp in the trunk. I can not seem to find a good way to enter the trunk. I have attached some picture, and here is where the harness and optical cable enters the trunk. It looks very tight, how do I put more wires through the gromet? Should I drill the gromet? The red arrow is where the tunnel through the firewall is. Please advise! Thanks !
  6. Another question, I don't plan to replace the amp, and will try to power the stock speakers (non bose) with a double Din deck. Will that work?
  7. I have the same issue, refinished using the 3m kit. Likenew again, applied a 3m clear bra.
  8. Thanks DAvid, looks very interesting. The plug definitely looks like the one show on the ebay link. But the length of htis cable is only 1M. I don't think it's enough to get it into the spare wheel well from the inside dash. Also is there a DIY on how to feed the wires from inside the dash to the wheel well?
  9. Just found the amp... looks like quite a job to fish the wires to the spare tire well.... any easier way to tap into the speaker wires without going to the trunk? I don't plan to replace the amp. Also I have a Becker Amp Model BE 6600 Part # 996-645-331-01 Do you have that wiring diagram?
  10. Thanks Loren, any ideas where the amp is located? and how to fish wires from the dash to it?
  11. Hi everyone, I have a 2003 C4S, I bought a Ebay kit, but have a MOST system, but non bose. CAn anyone provide me with some instructions on how to do an amp bypass? I don't nkow where the amp is, and does anyone have a wiring diagram of the amp? How to feed the wires to the amp from the head unit? thanks, Ben
  12. Just bought the Ebay kit, but have a 2003+ without BOSe. But still uses a MOST system. Anyone have instructions on how to do the install or wiring? There is no way to reuse the exisiting amp? Where is the exisiting amp, and how can I wire the speakers up to the new deck? Any help will be appreciated, Thanks, Ben
  13. Thanks, if the engine needs to be lowered then likely not a DIY. Would it be safe to try to weld it together? There isnt' too much stress through this part is there? Only 1 of the 2 support beams have broken off from the bracket.
  14. Is it hard to replace? a DIY at home? After looking at it from under the car, it's hard to tell what needs to be removed to get to it.
  15. My Mechanic noticed the right inner support is broken for my exhaust. I have located 2 part #, Just wondering if any one knows which one will fit a 2003 C4S with PSE? 996 111 128 54 996 111 128 57 Is it a possible DIY? Anywhere else to get it but a P-car dealer? cheapest i found was $220US at Sonnen. What is the consequences of leaving it alone? There are no rattles or anything right now.
  16. Hello, RFM. Nice to hear from you... My radio is the cdr23, no PCM system. It seems to me the sound comes from an area in the center of the dash but forward of the windshield. Cheers, Did you ever figure out what caused it? I have the same sound in my 2003 C4S.
