  1. Needing code for my Becker unit CDR210 SN: V5011528 Thanks!
  2. Thanks again, Loren. I had skimmed that but now I’m seeing that I’m kind of screwed (CDR23) unless I have a shop use their tools to reset/program it. I guess I’ll do better research and make sure to buy one with a code. Thanks
  3. Heyyyy, I know this is a super old thread BUT, I can’t find the answer to my question anywhere. In my 996 C4 I have a used CDR23 installed and I have a code that should work. BUT the radio won’t let me enter the code. It will ONLY show the “PROTECT” screen. Any ideas? Thanks! btw Loren, it’s great to see that you’re still super active on here. You actually helped me with my first Porsche (Boxster) locally about 13 years ago…
  4. Well, I ended up trading the Boxster a while back for an audi A4. I wish I had found some way to buy the 911T. It would be worth much more now...matching numbers and everything. I'm sure someone lucky picked it up for a steal. Thanks for the replies guys!
  5. Hey guys, I think it's time to replace my clutch. Its been slipping pretty bad and I'm doing my best to drive it very gently or not at all. Its a 986 2.5L manual transmission. I've read up on pelican the whole DIY and parts list. I just wanted to see what clutch kit you all would suggest? Also, should I plan on replacing my flywheel? Any suggestions or words of advice would be VERY much appreciated. First time doing a clutch replacement 8)
  6. So I hooked up the computer and supposedly it's throwing p1123 and p1125. No CEL on though.
  7. Hey Loren, no I haven't checked for fault codes yet. I'll hook my computer up and see if anything shows. If not, would I be able to swing by sometime and take you for a quick ride? You'd know better than I if it really is the clutch
  8. So the other night I was talked into letting my girlfriends brother drive my 99 boxster 2.5l. To say the least, im preatty sure he burned up my clutch. I could smell it and I could tell by the way he was letting it out so slowly. Well when I got back in the driver's seat I realized the car seemed to be shuttering or hesitating whenever i would give it more than minimal gas needed for acceleration. Usually it happens right around 3k rpms. I was assuming that it was the clutch starting to go.. I looked around on pelican and some other forums and would probably end up doing the clutch myself if it came to it. But I guess Im just wondering if there is something else that may be going on? Does something need to be adjusted? Replaced? Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated. 99 Boxster Base 97k Miles 2.7 liter 5 Speed
  9. Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here. I'd like to thank everyone for their help thus far with my current Boxster fixes and issues. I am now looking at (upgrading?) to a '70 911t. I love the older styles and have wanted to get my hands on one. The one I am looking at is matching numbers, has been rebuilt, just needs a paint job. Let me know what you all think, what to be aware of/scared of, any input is great! Thanks so much
