  1. Because i never was very happy with the look i decided now to install my lowering links. Just about 100 USD for all four wheels. Not very difficult to install. I like it and the ride Quality is the same like before. Handling on the street feels better.
  2. I am very sorry to say but thats not the water pump. This is a piston slap already.
  3. I found the reason. Disconnecting the engine cover drivers side. Access to the release cable. Lots of WD40 and problem is gone
  4. Please ask the guy here. He replaced his front strut. Good luck http://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-cayenne-forum/901129-klunky-noise-from-front-wheel-2.html
  5. Glad you foud one. My source was from turkey :-)
  6. Since my old Cayenne is living outside in all weather conditions now for 2 years without any driving, a lot of things dont work like they have to. I replaced battery. Everything works. Problems left is the ususal wet floor problem which i need to solve. But there is a problem which keeps me away from driving. The hood doesnt close proper. I used a lot of wd 40. not really a progress. Sometimes its closing but when i am driving some meters its popping off. My guess is corrosion of the cable. Is it a DIY job? Can i get access to the cable from engine compartment or is it possible to see behind the wheel well liner? Any help is welcome
  7. I have it with the unit in my old cs. Never went away. Only solution is a new screen for arround 120 USD
  8. Thank you Duncan. Just was wondering if possible to save some time an dont remove the belt in total. But i understand but to take it out completely
  9. Thank you. Maybe my question sound stupid now. I have to take out the belt completely or its enough just to release the tensioner?
  10. Ok. The belt cant be the reason. It was changed some weeks before with the pulleys.
  11. Good morning to Belgium. I did not try. Is it possible to do it for a short time?
  12. Hi ! I Try to discover a noise which i have now for one year. Nobody can tell me exactly where its coming from. It occured last year when i changed my alternator. I was pointing to this part but the company which delivered that part is telling me it cant be. "If the alternator is working so the noise is something else" My porsche shop changed some pulleys. Dont know excatly if all. Water pump is new. Alternator new. Maybe somebody has a idea when watching the video clip. Thank you so much https://vid.me/Z2T6
  13. Of course you cant compare icarsoft with durametric. As written here already from JFP the Durametric pro version can perform lot more. I bought it because it was just 80 euro and i couldnt pass this offer. For serious problems - and i have a lot- i anyway go to the shop. I am not a good DiY person when it comes to difficult jobs on this car.
  14. I have the same tool and i can tell you the device is reacting different on my 03 CS and the 05 turbo.
  15. Happy new year to belgium! Thank you for explaining this.
  16. Interesting to know how its possible to find out if the timing chains are streched.
  17. For me sounds like a sensor somewhere is causing this. The car has so many sensors for safety and stability. When you make turns maybe one of the sensors is sending out a PSM signal which is almost shutting down power
  18. Problem is solved. Was the coolant vent line. This small hose with the t on the pictures. And onother rubber hose somewhere else. Now she is dry again. Need do make a test drive if everything works
  19. Just talked to the mechanic. Its the t pipe near the starter which is broken. The tubes close to the firewall are leacking too. Thats what made me a little bit angry. When car was in last time for replacing the starter they should check all this briggle tubes. My wish was always a good mechanic will see what to do and replace when one time there. But looks like this wish will be forever
  20. Found always some drops missing but could not locate the problem. Last week The car lost a lot of coolant while driving. Took it to my mechanic. Very curious what happend.
  21. As i remember the alternator of a cayenne s is not water cooled. I think this feature comes only with the turbo.
