  1. A little birdy told me that....the C4, C4S and Targa 4/4S will not be announced until June 25th for C4/4S and July 28th for the Targa 4/4S, with the US model launch cars being September 20th, C2/C2S and October 25th for the C4/C4S and Targa 4/4S. Why are there separate announcements and launch dates, yet the dates are so close together? Why not just do one big announcement for all C models? They always do this....

  3. Have you flashed your engine software by any chance?
  4. And you think the PST2 is complicated, just wait until you play with a PIWIS :o
  5. Try the Hairy Dog Garage in Oxford, CT. They only do Porsche work.
  6. +1 Agree with the below.... if the car has been near any of those car washes that use a caustic spray to remove the brake dust then this is where damage can be done. has the car been tracked ? This is normal for calipars that get v.hot (re tracked car) - not normal for even fast road use. Are the rears the same as the fronts ?
  7. They just clip in: Left: 986 561 583 00 01C Right: 986 561 584 00 01C They are around $117 each. Try ebay as they sometimes turn up there.
  8. I 1000% hear what you are saying, but in this case the local dealer will have to trade one of their cars for this car, as its not currently local. And i'd feel like a bit of an arse if they went to all that work and I said "nope, rides bad", so I thought i'd ask for two pennies from whomever. I like the ride of the Boxster S's, 986 or 987. Comparing the 986S to 986, honestly, I think the S rides better on bad roads, which has always perplexed me. A hard ride isn't necessarily a bad thing unless you live in NY state where the roads are terrible. There are pros and cons to the wider wheels depending on what you intend to do with your car. I like the ride on the Boxster S and BTW the Orange S version comes with 19" wheels, not the 18"
  9. Whereabouts in the NE are you as it's a big place?
  10. Have you recently done any mods to the car?
  11. Yes I believe this is generally the case. However, some dealers may work this differently.
  12. This is true, but some of us have aquired both over the years, how many 'shirts off your back' and 'arm and a leg' was it again.... no please don't remind me.
  13. I agree a big step forward in how the kit was in the old days (yes I am old) Anyhow Loren with regards to "(short of spending thousands of dollars on a PST2 or PIWIS)" shouldn't the 'or' be replaced by 'and a' ?
  14. Try here.... (If you have the standard wheel (the triangular one) you will also need a new airbag) GT3 RS Wheel
  15. That's what it says but I thought Porsche reduced the mileage for MY08 not increased it. I have checked, the checklist that is posted is 'Minor Checklist 2', there should also be a 'Minor Checklist 1' if you don't have it give me a shout.
  16. Loren, they don't seem to cover the oil changes as I thought the 08 models were more frequent, are these are on a seperate schedule?
  17. Another black roof.... Its got to be red and red, otherwise it just looks like a stock car.
  18. It is more complicated than before and you need either a PIWIS or an aftermarket product. I am surprised the OPC doesn't know how to do it. The aftermarket product is remoteKey and is made by mods4cars.
