windshield fogging up

I recently purchased my first ever Porshce, a 2001 Boxster S, its a great car with one annoying problem: the windshield fogs up quite easily and the defogger is not very effective, is this a common problem? any solutions out there? thanks

assuming you live in the northern hemisphere it's still pretty warm out, is it fogging up because you have the AC on with the top down and it's creating condensation on the outside of the windsheild?

that's the only problem I've ever had with mine and it was fixed simply by picking the footwell and front dashboard exhausts while the top was down

with the top is up it shuts itself off so it's never been cold enough for this to be a problem then

You can have fog on the inside or outside in this current weather. Each has it's own symptoms...I'm guessing if you turn on your windshield wipers the concern will disappear.

I had a car brand that was common to have the heater core fail oh so slightly which just put enough moisture into the car to fog the inside. Ever since then I freak when I see "fog" that I am not expecting, then I remember to turn on the wipers as the fog is most likly on the outside in humid nights in the summer.

Now if you have fog on the inside there are other things to consider such as the recirc being on.
