Newb Questions...

I just got my first sports car ever. It's a 996TT X50. Currently, there are 25,000 miles on it and I keep hearing about the dreaded 30,000 mile maintenance. Other than that, is there anything else I should be looking out for? Also, the colour is noted as "Slate Grey". Every other one I had seen was called "Seal Grey". Does anyone know why there is a discrepancy?

You will need to check your paint code as both were available.

Seal Grey Metallic is code L6B5

Slate Grey Metallic is code 22D

It's definitely Slate. But what's the difference?

Seal Grey is a little lighter to my eye...

Slate is also a more expensive optional colour to spec than the more common Seal Grey. IMHO, its a nicer grey than Seal.

I didn't know there was another SMan; my quest for a unique nic has been foiled again. I am not the Sman you are referring to.

Why is the Boxster cheaper than its hardtop counterpart? Just typical Porsche marketing.

But Slate was among a select few colours that were markedly more expensive than the standard and regular optional colours.
