Here is a great way to clean glass:

1) Windos need to be cool and not in the sun

2) Use a solution of distilled water and denatured alcohol- 2:1 in a spray bottle

3) Spray solution on a clean, white 100% terry cloth towel

4) Clean window

5) Buff dry with a different, clean 100% white terry cloth towel.

I use this method for all of my Concours events...and have won a few!

White98: I'm headed for the Drug Store to buy denatured alcohol and some distilled water. I swear that I've tried just about every concoction and commercial product and still get hazy windows. I know about not trying to clean them when they're hot...but I have yet to find something that works. Hopefully your home remedy will work...so far, nothing else has.

In boot camp, back in 1966, we used wet newspapers to clean our barrack windows. You can bet this tip from Heloise has been around for many decades. Although, personally, I use Stoner's "Invisible Glass", available at auto supply stores. Contains no Drill Instructor harrassment!
